For external trigger to work properly, XRPL needs to be able to access an oracle, which makes external event available on-chain. At this point there doesn't seem to be any discussion of having an on-chain oracle. Perhaps it will be implemented through a side-chain.

It does make a difference in cost say you batch 100000 transactions togethor its 20 drops then the individual fee so on a 100k transactions you save a million drops and if a drop is £1 in the future that translates to massive savings

Transferring money today will be go in different stages. 1. Single payment (the payment what everybody knows) 2. period payment (the first transaction has to be succesfull after than the datasystem knows that the bankaccount is online) 3. batch payment (Most companies has a bookkeeping software system, the software can rollout for example "salary batch", when they upload their xml file in the banking interface, the bank get the task to pay everybody in 1 single time their salary.

I'm sure I watched a video recently explaining that the XRPL will have smart contract functionality and the creation of each smart contract would burn 1 XRP token...

Another reason for having the fees is to discourage the XRPL from Distributed Denial of Service Attack (DDOS). It will cost the attacker small fraction of XRP but DDOS attack sends million of messages per sec to XRPL. The fees will be a disincentive to attack XRPL.

A “Third Party” probing the XRPL parameter for an opening, HELL NO! As long as the USD fiat monetary financial institutions and their third party systems are in play? I say no to this idea of security measures updates. Besides I thought that’s why a side chain off the XRPL was there for these transactions leaving the XRPL alone. Also don’t want them dipping their ugliness in the XRPL, let them deal with it on those side chain of XRPL. Why XRP can never rise. The biggest reason is the escrow volume. Of the 45 billion volumes, 1 billion is unlocked on the first day of every month. Usually, after 2-3 days, an average of 800 million keys are locked again. On average, 200 million units are sold on the market. Then, if you calculate the time for all of them to be sold on the market, it will take 225 months, or 18.75 years, to sell 200 million each. If the price of XRP rises tenfold, the market will have difficulty even digesting 2,000. Therefore, XRP cannot rise. Neither a lawsuit victory or settlement, nor an IPO, nor an ETF can lead to the rise of XRP. As for secondary sales, it has already been ruled that they are not securities, and what is being traded in the secondary market, whether the lawsuit was won or settled, is not a security, so a large increase cannot be expected.
