The guys from the greater Houston, TX area invited us along to check out Xtreme Off-Road Park & Beach near Crosby, TX. A couple of the guys who came to ride were David Gibson and Niles Moran. Both of these Duramax rigs are absolutely SICK! Specs on each are as follows:
2008 GMC 2500
• 1000HP Industrial Injection twin turbo Duramax
• ATS transmission

Ive always heard that on the huge trucks that if you have the axles locked and your coming out of a mud hole with the tires spinning and one tire gains traction quickly its easy to shear that axle or the ring and pinion. With an open front the power just goes to the other tire rather than breaking parts. Just what I heard, don't know if the real reason. Sounds good at least lol. Not sure if this same idea would apply to posi.
