Xuefei Yang's version of Romance de Amore is the best that I heard. I attended one of her concerts 12 years ago in China, and I am still very impressed now.

This lied has been written by Fernando Sor, a spanish composer and guitarist of the XIX century. It is also the music of the famous French film called the " Jeux interdits ( 1962).

This piece is so easy to play but only a master like Xuefei can evoke emotions by playing it.

The second part is not easy. Everyone (including this player) cheats by slowing down the tempo when they change the left hand's position.

Sorry but I dont think thats right. The story about Romance de Amor or Spanish Ballad is that is it written in 19th century, no one knows for real who is behind this music, but a lot points in the direction of Fernando Sor - it is quite similar to his etude pieces. Its beautiful as all mysteries should stay :-)

Malthe is right. The tune was used as a theme tune for the movie "Jeux interdits" but it was definitely not composed by Yepes. It is usually labelled "traditional" and "anonymous". Ascribing it to Sor is speculation.
