Introduction of ADAS is good because other car makers will also develop it and release advanced versions for their cars in future. Kudos to Mahindra for releasing version 1. :)

With all due respect to newer technologies, I think India needs a different type of ADAS, which prevents drivers from doing stupid things, like turning without indicator, sudden and rash overtake, pushing other cars out of their lane, keeping high beam on at night etc. That would solve most of the problems.

*You should have a lot of patience and time to use ADAS. It's mostly useless* unless your drive is mostly on National Highways. I can never trust a machine so I prefer hands on steering. It's useful for having quick snacks while driving tho 🌚

To the people who said ADAS is not useful in India, waste of money, gimmicky feature, this is for you. It can be life saving many-a-times. Perfectly tuned according to Indian conditions. This has to be part of my next car. Manufactures should find a way to cheapen this in the coming years. This should give great mileage in smaller cars since the increase and decrease in speeds are very gradual.

Great car, but a few drawbacks: 1) The blind spot monitoring is not great. Normally in other cars, you will have some sort of illumination on the mirrors to indicate if the blind spot on either side of the car is clear or not. It also provides a beep if the car detects an obstacle if indicator is activated. On XUV 700, the video may not be clear in the night and it also doesn’t provide an audible warning on detection of a vehicle on the blind spot. This is a huge draw back 2) Atleast on the AX7L model, there should have been a power auto tail gate 3) I drive a Mazda and compared to it the automatic gear knob is not that smooth. It would have been great to have a fly by wire system 4) Apple car play is not enabled here 5) Would have been great if the top model has an inbuilt navigation system Apart from the above issues it is a good car and a great improvement compared to xuv500

ADAS is a new advertisement feature for Indian buyers. Luxury cars have had this since long time. Mahindra has done really well in bringing this in somewhat affordable cars.

समझ नहीं आता कि ऐसे features सिरफ महंगी गाडीओं में ही कयों आते हैं.... जबकि ये features बिलकुल ससती और entry level गाड़ीओं में होने चाहिए जैसे कि alto, chota hathi, tampo, auto, truck, bus etc.... ताकि सभी सड़क के नियमों का पालन automaticly हो सके....🙏

no doubt mahindra has made a very good car but what i think where mahindra is left behind is the electic cars. Tata has already launched 2 evs and they are planning to launch 2 more in the year 2022 that is altroz and tiago . Now i want mahindra to work on evs as well . Still first they will be delivering the XUV 700 and launching the new generation scorpio in 2022 . I also think that tata will not modify their harrier and safari much . i think they are just thinking of electric vehicles..still i love XUV 700.......

Auto headlight (auto low beam) and lane keep assist should be mandatory for all vehicles to teach the knuckleheads some driving etiquettes.

Automobile company should give preference to petrol engine rather than diesel engine.. as Mahindra should increase petrol power engine to 250 BHP and 470 Nm torque..

Superb informative video. This is true car blog there are some who promotes dealers in KAROL bagh and their sub standard modifications in the car in the name of car blogs.

I guess this will increase more stress. Either the system should detect every obstacles or better to opt for manual drive. Cruise control is still better, but ADAS system is just a gimmick for Indian conditions. Waste of money if someone going for this feature. That's my personal opinion, it can be useful for someone

I think you've unnecessarily confused many users here in this video, car & ADAS is capable enough to handle most of the tasks other than wrong side driving, driving mistakes of other vehicles & few other things that everyone needs to take care when one is driving standard non ADAS vehicle.

Of course Steering Assist is awesome technology but we first habituated of Cruise Control, Indian roads & traffics are still not made for Adative Cruise Control. Everyday we all are not traveling on Xpress way or NHs. Proper lane marking on roads r not made till date in all cities road.
