The clutch has nothing to do with the starter system, its the return spring and the gear itself that from factory is deemed a defect. I solved this problem by adding a additional starter gear bendix clip to tighten its hold on the gear and i used a shorter return spring. You can cut the original spring that you have by 2 rolls and it will give you the needed clearance so the gear itself can properly spin the flywheel.
