Dear friends
It had been one hectic week in Ipoh having to feature 18 food outlets. I actually went to feature 23 outlets but some didn’t qualify to make it to my list. I have to thank my brother in law TC Tho together with his friend Ong for taking me around Ipoh in his new Mercedes. They were responsible for introducing the most popular foodie and even some hidden gems in Ipoh. Seriously I wouldn’t have done it without them. This is the longest episode I ever made, hope you are patient enough to see it to the end. Meanwhile go out and support our street food, be it in Ipoh or in PJ. Thanks and have a great year ahead. See you in the next.

Thanks for introducing my hometown. You speak good cantonese. I'm so sad to see ipohan youngsters nowadays not well verse in cantonese. Besides food, cantonese is a symbol for ipoh. Keep it up.

I had lived in Ipoh for 15 years from 1956 to 1971 but, like Elmo, was too poor to eat at restaurants and was only introduced to Ipoh Food years later. I'm glad that Ipoh, despite being on the tourist map, has retained its Old World charm, informality and slower pace of life.

Ipoh and Perak are not only famous for food and scenery, it's people are hard working, progressive and PATRIOTIC too. In late 70s to the 80s, tin mining industries collapsed, couples with economic stagnation in the country. Malaysian economy was in trouble. Luckily came the exodus of Ipoh and Perak workers to the labour market in prospering Japan, Taiwan, Korea and Singapore. These patriots remitted billion of hard earn salary back to Malaysia, their home county. I believe not one cent was spent elsewhere except in this country. And those money actually pull the country through the hard time in the eighties. We should salute these patriots.

Finally Elmo is in Ipoh! Good recommendations including some newer joints. I think you should consider to do a segment on the best kept secret of Ipoh which is its fantastic selection of beef noodle stalls!

If you are still in Ipoh, Restaurant Hui Ji @ Fish Head Noodle on Jalan Seenivasigam is really tasty. I'd recommend you go early though! Sending yourself and your family the very best wishes for 2022 and may your channel continue to grow!

the chee cheong fun in SS2 morning market is sourced from another chee cheong fun stall also known Canning Gardens chee cheong fun but this stall was never at a coffee shop but opens at night in front of the church opposite from this coffee shop

在怡保停留更长时间，提供有竞争力的住宿和寄宿家庭，如 Kelebang、Chemor、Sg Siput、Kuala Kangsar、Kampar 等郊区，并延伸到 Cameron Higlands 等，为隐藏的天堂美食家、茶和咖啡以及寺庙等。怡保是一个不断发展的城市可以找到昔日辉煌的地方，“金马仑高原”是西方人和茶园的一个很好的例子。
