I heard many people revers type two diabetes by following keto diet (high protein low carb) I think you can reverse it. My brother is a diabetic and he controls it really good. His A1C is very low now He doesn’t eat injera anymore he eats chicken, eggs, broccoli, salmon, fermented foods, avocado, strawberries, blueberries etc and also he takes fiber. Fiber is very important for diabetes

Very good advice! Thank you. Good point about Carbs and injera. Carbohydrates are the one thing Diabetes patients should avoid or keep it to the minimum. I have seen family members both in Ethiopia and abroad who successfully fully stopped taking Diabetic medication just by avoiding or minimizing carbohydrates.

Huffpost give ingera diabetic friendly food. They said it is starch resistant. To be honest when I eat injera I sense it as I am prediabetic. Portion control is important otherwise it is one of the best food for diabetic. The only thing is expensive.

Thank you! Teff is a very misunderstood grain. I also believe the fact that it’s fermented makes it more quickly changed to sugar. However, I don’t think suef and sunflower seed is the same.
