to be honest, after watching the whole show, I don't believe that the Yamato's success can be entirely attributed to plot armour i mean the ship gets the ever-loving shit kicked out of it constantly, and in my opinion, only succeeded because it managed to 110% blindside the entire Gamilon navy, trapping it far from home base and knocking out its most key logistical and transport hub at Balun

@@weirdassenbychild7452 it does get a lot of survivability against a 10000+ fleet, in an engagement it mostly cruised through. If they had used the wave cannon to open a corridor through which they could go as fast as possible, while putting the fear of god on the Gamilas, the scene would have been more credible, but the writers wrote themselves into a corner by limiting the use of the Wave cannon.

リメイク版では戦艦や巡洋艦クラスならギリギリ撃てる。ただヤマトの波動砲と同じで全エネルギーを使うからチャージが長いし、機関が焼け付く寸前まで行くからしばらく動けなくなる。なので初見殺しの第二次火星沖海戦で一矢報いた後、普通に対策されて撃つ前にやられるようになった。

@@user-cm9pc3fc2d でも実際ヤマトでいきなり主戦力になって、故障もなくばかばか撃てるのもおかしいから… その点リメイクの『開発出来てて使えるけど、めちゃくちゃエネルギー使うからヤマト以前の地球艦艇では実質的に使えない』ってのはいい落とし所だと思う。

At 8:42, when I watched the scene with context, it’s kinda impressive. They managed to not only make it a relieving “fuck you” to the enemies (because with the exception of the Dessler cannon and WMG, beam weapons, even positrons don’t work in the subspace gate), in the manner of physical shells that ignore the parenthesized rule, and the other best thing, it also channels the anger the battleship’s crew had because of Dessler’s assault. _Yamato_ do be channeling her inner _Missouri_ ( _if you know you know_ ) Long live Type 3 shells!

@@matthewbrune5490 definitily this.. previous ships simply couldnt generate enough power to fire the axial shockcanon and even maneover or do anything else for a while.. they needed to recharge the canon and recover the power after firing similar to Yamato firing the wave motion gun.. when the Iscandarian tech became avalaible with much much higher output powerplants then shockcanons became the normal weapon.. later production Kongos even have wave motion guns

Same dude, different channel. You can tell because there parts here that weren't present in the original. Such as the weird gatlantis solar beam-thing. His channel is still up. This is just a re-release/remake on this channel. He probably made this channel to avoid copyright issues, that way if these videos go down it won't effect his main channel.

@@themrfives Gatlantis solar beam thing? Ah you mean the Firestorm direct energy cannon. Shure it was in the OG Yamato back then XD althou not as beam like shown here. Rather as massive explosion that ONLY managed to beat the Enceladus fleet or rather force them to retreat. Soon after they jumped gatlantis hard with the advantage in the saturn ice rings (Yea back then it was ice rings XD) and vaporizing them ships. The movie stuff is set right where it needed to be too (the one where yamato and milangal team um where gamilon is basicaly entirely slaughtered save lamberg(wich in 2205 is the longest serving gamilon ship EVER XD)

実弾の場合だと、揚弾機と弾薬庫でめちゃくちゃスペース取るし、発射時の反動で姿勢崩して隙を与えることになるし、ヤマトより前の地球側の艦艇はヤマトより小さいから載せられない。何より実弾の砲を搭載するよりもビーム砲を搭載する方がメリットが大きい。弾切れの心配も無いし、砲全体のシステムも実弾砲よりも小さい。ヤマトはこれまでの地球側艦艇よりも大きいからビーム砲のシステムと実弾砲のシステム両方を運用できるんだと思う。ただ第三砲塔は下にエンジンがあるからショックカノンしか撃てない。
