If year 1 all people buy 1 iPhone for £500, year 2 iPhone price rises to £1000 and only half the people buy it that year. And let's say no one buys anything else at all, does that mean inflation is at 0% year 2?

i think he meant that if meat price rises, then households that eat meat will experience inflation. However households that don’t eat meat (vegans) will not experience that inflation
