Yeah, some predicted it, I remember hearing my old brother and his friends were talking about it because they were following the manga and some old online anime forum/site way back 2008/09, they read some people already have a theory about it. I think I was still catching up on Skypiea during that time so everything they said doesn't make sense to me but I do remember them so hype talking about it.

Just to point out again, these episodes are not "Anime canon" Oda wrote these stories on the manga cover pages. They are legitimately 100% manga canon as well. Also, what would Shanks have to do with the war? besides the 1 mention of Shanks cutting off Kaido who was going after Whitebeard, Shanks is completely irrelevant. Totally outside the box prediction though which is good! We like out of the box considering the entire show is out of the box lol

why there have to be a blood relation to Gol D roger? One Piece emphasizes the fact over and over that, it's not your bloodline that defines you or your dreams. the wills you carry can be from people not related to you. Sanji is carrying Zeff's will who he has no blood connection. Zoro is partly carrying Kuina's will. So Luffy even though carrying will of D and D are not necessarily blood-related. Seriosly it shows you people who depends on their bloodline to be high ppl are the Worst ( Celestial dragons who believe themselves gods because of their bloodline)
