I went to fort simcoe as a kid and don’t remember anything about it being one of these terrible boarding schools.. I only learned about it after I did research for another project for school. I’m glad people will finally know what really happened there.

Elder knowledge from my Rez when the soldiers finally caught my Northern People the soldiers took two Native babies and impaled them onto two flagpoles and marched everyone through the impaled babies and onto fort simcoe the stories I heard about the Walk there are really bad as well

My family had a pice of the hanging tree that killed itself where americans put a play ground. I was told it was the only tree to die n fell apart.
