Marlene Spencer Silma is the Great-Great-Great-granddaughter of a Yakama tribal chief
If today, the language of his ancestors is disappearing, this Elder is trying to save the culture of her tribe by telling native legends.
Listen to this woman we've had the honor to meet and interview. Discover the History of natives through a prism you don't often see.
The history of the United States is not limited to "Pioneers" and settlers, to the founding fathers or to the gold rush. What Marlene tells us is a historical testimony. Let's listen to her and hear her message of peace.
----

I loved this ladies interview. I adored how she didn't sugarcoat and yet was still so eloquent. I wish I had been shown this perspective in school. The shock and horror I experienced once I learned the truth about America and how we treated the natives. I remember when my best friend, who is part of the Potawatomi around Wisconsin, told me the truth about Columbus and then I read the book about Black Hawk from my area of eastern Iowa, I sobbed. So I thank this lady for calling spades a spade. The cultures of the various native tribes of the America's is stunning, inspiring, full of wisdom, and deserving of respect. I wish I had been taught the truth when I was younger.

I was born in Toppenish. I was the only white baby in the nursery. I’m proud of where I come from, to share in some small way this amazing tribe’s culture, even if it isn’t mine. This woman is lovely!

My grandfather was a tribal judge. But from what I discovered, there was a lot of drama. Trying to piece it all together with my long lost half sister and first cousin.

Hello, 🌻🌼🌷🐕May I share an Old Testament Verse with you from Daniel 7:14 "And there was given him dominion, and glory, and a Kingdom, that all people, nations, and languages, should SERVE Him; his dominion is an Everlasting dominion, which shall not pass away, and his kingdom shall not pass away, and His Kingdom that which shall not be destroyed." Also, can I share Isaiah 53:5 " But HE was WOUNDED For our TRANSGRESSIONS, he was BRUISED for our iniquities; the chastisement of our peace was upon Him, and with His STRIPES we are HEALED." God the Father loves you so much that He sent Holy Sinless Jesus (His Holy Son) to earth to be born of a virgin. Then, to grow up and die on a cross for our sins. He was in the tomb for 3 days, then Father God raised Holy and Sinless Jesus Christ (Y'shua) to Life! He appeared to people and went back to Heaven. We must receive Sinless Jesus sincerely to be God's child(John 1:12).After we get saved by grace through faith in Christ, if we truly love the Lord Jesus Christ, then we will obey Jesus(John 14:15). Mark 1:15 "And saying, the time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: Repent ye, and believe the gospel." Jesus said in John 14:15 "If you love Me, keep My commandments. "There's a real hell. It says in Revelation 21:8 "But for the cowardly, & unbelieving, and abominable, and murderers, & immoral persons sorcerers & idolaters & all liars, their part will be in the lake that burns with fire & brimstone..." Please sincerely receive Holy Jesus and put your true faith and trust in Him today and please repent. Will you have a Real encounter with Holy Lord Jesus (Y'shua is His Hebrew Name) and stay in a Genuine relationship with Him daily please?

A native American perspective. They didn't live everywhere. They aren't the ancestors of everyone. Natives exist in most lands. Natives come in many types.
