I’d like a separate video. There’s a balance: if I want to see the technical differences here, I don’t necessarily want a 20 minute intro telling me all about the technical history of the series. I think they struck a nice balance here, but yes I’d like a full separate video on that tbh! It’s an interesting series in this sense particularly given their quite rapid and laudable adoption of Xbox support over the last 12 months and PC too.

Definitely recommend Yakuza 0 and Judgment if you’re interested in gripping stories if you fancy more after Like A Dragon, although they have action brawler gameplay as Like A Dragon introduced the JRPG system

You know what? Resident Evil 3 also did this, 60 fps during play and 30-40 during gorgeous cutscenes, and i am happy with that! Smooth gameplay and amazing graphics once you put down the controller.

Even Final Fantasy VII remake exclusivity ends April 10th, so we could probably see an Xbox release sometime next month if it's ready to go. So those games will come to Xbox eventually. That aside, I am happy to see more Japanese games coming to Xbox, both large and small, as I stated.

Just a remainder: the fps drops on 1440p on XSX is to 54fps and 53fps on PS5. 1fps difference. Completely unnoticeable. The fps drops on 4k is the opposite. PS5 goes down to 26fps, and XSX goes down to 24fps. 2fps difference, again, unnoticeable. Specially since it's super moves only which lasts up to 1.5 seconds. The DOF is slightly higher on XSX compared to the XSS, it's the same between the XSX and PS5. The only difference is that shadows and blacks are darker on the PS5, which doesn't mean it's better. It's just darker. Hence why Alex says "it isn't clear what preset the developers intended to use since one is not necessarily better than the other". I personally and it's just my opinion, don't like too dark blacks. If it's a movie, of course, great! But if it's not, then no. Just my opinion. Overall as Alex couldn't tell any other differences between PS5 and XSX, this is as detailed as it gets. So pick the version for the console you own and it's all good. BTW... yes, the PS5 is yet again punching above its weight. It's become common, regular, mundane. This is some serious Sony wizardry going on.

Then I got past what I consider the hardest fight (The biker vanguard, hippie and the voodoo dude.) Then I noticed I could actually finish it. I for one am always amazed by Dice's results and optimization with the Frostbite. Both Battlefield 1 and 6 as well as Mirror's Edge catalyst get too much flak.

DICE optimizations are one of the best, the game has so much going and there is even destruction and all of it still runs and looks better than Call of Duty Modern Warfare, but Modern Warfare's singleplayer campaign graphics are also top-notch, but Battlefield manages both destruction and look very well

TBH this game is best played on seriesx with 1440p gaming monitor vrr ON. So in terms of performance, advantage in favor of the series x due to vrr caoability.

I would recommend these to anybody, they're great games with some of the best stories around. The maps aren't large, but they are incredibly dense with a ton of content

The zombie game was a goofy spin off that (unfortunately) wasn't looked upon favorably, but the stories/characters/world & interaction for the main entries are top tier. Definitely recommend you to try those if you liked Yakuza 7/Like a Dragon

Way better, the shadows on series x remind me of when I got a 360 at launch with nfs most wanted. Went over to my friend one time who was still on ps2 playing the same game and that's what the shadows looked like in comparison to the 360, really rough
