Only thing I disagree with is the aftermarket support. Granted, it’s not as robust as Harley, but there are still quite a few companies who make a good deal of upgrades for this bike. SS Custom Cycle, DeanSpeed, Low and Mean, etc.

I rode mine from Mexico to Seattle and from California to Virgina. Never had a single issue. Just keep up with your oil changes and it should run forever. People even put turbo kits on them. I think the Rebel 1100 would rule the roost if it dumped all the silly gadgets and was belt-driven/air-cooled.

I haven’t ridden on yet but they look awesome! I completely agree with losing all the gadgets, bring back simple motorcycles!

20.000 miles is not much. Every bike should be able to do that without any issues. Every Japanese bike will do that easily.

Who needs to ride without holding a handlebar or with one hand? because only then you get wobble. Yamaha said they not going to fix it because bike is designed to ride with both hands on the handlebar. If you ride with both hands as you should, without playing a macho man or cool guy there will be no wobble. So stop fooling around people and ride safe period.

That is an interesting point. Stability is still a concern especially at high speeds, but Yamaha definitely has a good point.

End of the video he said it was 2014 thats 6 years ago im pretty sure this video is accurate for that year but its now 2020 not useful in my opinion

The bike is a 2014, not the year of the video. Also the bolt hasn't really been changed since it came out, so it's still a relevant video.
