The long awaited update to the original walkaround video of my 2014 Yamaha Bolt.
The crappy speaker on the camera does not reflect the quality of the audio coming from the Polk Audio speakers.

Now that the weather is clear I took the Bolt out with the new audio setup on the highway to work today. Crystal clear at 80mph. I normally cruise between 68-75mph, and no issues so far with the clarity. very impressed.

How hard was it to install the fairing? Stock light housing for the headlight to fit thru the fairing? Will the fairing work with stock handle bars?

Looks good Pete and I'm sure you will do more 😂 those Avon cobra tyres and fantastic I have a pair on my xv950 "bolt" handle good in the wet too. Still haven't got the Koso for my bolt 😂 good work 👍👍

Awsm looking bike. I'm putting risers on mine but I know and my hand controls, brakes and everything up top are going to need to be longer and was wondering what company did you go with and what size extensions did you go with for all your upper controls to leave clearance with those risers?

Thanks Jeremy. I got the speaker box from a company called Deviant Fabrications. The speakers are 300W Polk Audio Marine Speakers. The box is mounted to the handlebars using led light brackets that are made to mount light pods to atv's. It's powered and amplified by a 600w Boss Audio bluetooth amp that sits under the left side cover.

U mentioned that u adjust both the preload n damping to the highest setting. Did u mean that the preload adjusting sleeves were at the highest point n the rebound all the way out in the anti clockwise direction? If so, won't it bottom out frequently? I just installed those shocks n set it both at mid range, i weigh 135lbs.

Sweet new add on’s bro!With those risers, are you getting a lot of vibration in your ride? The bars I’m looking at getting bypass the stock risers. Also, did you get new cables or cable extenders?

No vibration. The risers are basically mounted directly to the top triple tree. The throttle cables and clutch cables were both extended. The throttle cables were extended 12", but I did that a while ago. The clutch cable i had was extended 8", but this one is extended 12". The throttle cables are from Motion Pro a few years ago. The 12"+ clutch cable was ordered from Barnett. All work flawlessly.

These windshield fairings are really good, they reduced wind noise and vibration drastically. Idk why more Cruiser bikes don't come with such fairings as standard On my dad's Harley the noise is so little thanks to the windshield and fairings you can even listen to music or fm radio on the bike

I’m jealous of all the custom stuff man! Looks awesome. I’m looking at torque mfg for the headlight bracket but I can’t find any info or pricing on it. Do you happen to have a link on where to buy?

Thanks! The best advice i can give you in regards torque mfg is to try to contact a company called British Customs in California. They were the parent co of torque. You can also try SS Custom Cycles in NY. Ask for Shane, tell him Pete sent you. He has something similar that would fit.

Those are the stock bars. I'm using 12" Biltwell Murdock Risers and SS Custom Cycles 3.5" Riser Kit.

Could you explain more on how you relocated the front turn signals? Did you by an extended wire harness or did you rewire it yourself? Nice bike BTW.

Where’d you get the 6 inch LED light bar? How did you mount it? I have been trying to find one for my bolt but cant seem to locate anything that will mount to the bike properly

The light from Walmart. The "L" brackets and hardware from lowes. The connector to the accessory plug in the headlight from a mechanic in my shop that he saved from another wiring harness,

Possibly my next bike. mt 07 or mt 09 are a consideration also. That's the speedo I want to get. I can't stand the stock speedo! Can I ask you how well the new speedo performs? is it accurate? Thank you.

The new speedo is very accurate. All you have to do is make and adjustment to the TIRE % section during setup (setup is very easy) and I verified my mph using GPS at multiple points on a 17 mile commute varying between city and highway riding.

Just got my 2014 bolt and I want that Koso speedo as my first mod. That quarter fairing well be number 2. I'm just glad the previous owner used up the terrible stock Bridgestone tires. Love your mods!

All cables were extended. The rise in this video is 14", I now have 16". I think the cables were extended 8" or 10" - i honestly don't remember. Sorry

Not hating I’m just interested to know. Why not just get a dyna if you are going for this style? Have you rode a dyna? What do you like about the bolt over the dyna?

No problem. I manage a multiline metric motorcycle dealership and got an unbelievable deal on my new Bolt back in 2013. It's paid for. It's far more reliable than any bike HD has ever or will ever produce. I was once of the first to own the Bolt and do most of the mods. I absolutely love this bike to death. Not saying I wouldn't like to own a Dyna ( killed off by HD, so would be stuck with a used one..not really for me), but for now and the foreseeable future I can see no reason to get rid of my Bolt (which looks even different now) and start all over again with a used Dyna or FXR. Yes I've ridden Dynas and FXR's.

No fuel gauge. You can program the light to come on for low fuel though.

Thanks! Those are 12" Biltwell Murdock Risers. You'll need to 3.5" riser bushing kit from SS Custom Cycles in order to make the risers work.

I manage a Yamaha Honda Kawasaki Suzuki dealership and prefer Yamaha over Harley. I’ve been in this business and have been riding too long and seen too many Harley s repaired in my shop to buy one.
