Hello do you know how to access the XG, GS , GM, GM2 voices ? I couldn't find them via the smart pianist app . I read the manual and the data list but there is no explanation about that ... thanks for your time.

Yes! I run my CSP 170 exclusively from my Android Note 20. The piano comes with a WiFi adapter that connects seamlessly to my phone. You just need to check the list of supported devices. Stuff as old as Tab 7 and Galaxy 6 are on the list, plus all the new stuff.

I returned my CSP 150 back to shop as the action (GH3X) was way too heavy for my daughters. NWX on 170 is not only lighter, but also overall better responding. Weight needed to push down C4 on: Accoustic pianos: 55-75g CSP 150: 96g CSP 170: 82g

Totally placebo: I had a P515 (the same NWX) and after self made hype calms, in fact was the worst digital piano I ever had. My history context: P45 -> p125-> Privia PX160-> Yamaha DGX660 - > Roland FP30 -> Yamaha P515 and yes: NWX have worst key action of all, even than GHS after you forget the marketing wood-crap-natural. Do a favor to your daughter: sell this piece of garbage and buy a kawai, could even be the entry kdp, because its a lot better than the best of yamaha digital pianos. If you can, just go to one store where you can touch both. Its a LOT better touch, response and most than double the sustain (more than 1:30min with phones, all other brands never hold more than 45-50secs). Sellers like this channel in youtube will never say this directly because they can't burn their own products, but there is a huge gap here.

Doesn’t the CSP-170 have 180 watts of power, not 90 watts? (45w + 45w) x 2

They're really different instruments. P515 is designed to be portable and CSP170 is like a traditional piano piece of furniture supposed to stay in one place.

Stays up. It's screwed in position.

Difference is CLP 675 - Grand Touch key board, 88 linear graded hammers, 6 way speaker system, 49 voices CSP 170 - NWX key board, NOT 88 linear graded hammers, 4 way speaker system, 600 + voices (and many other features), lights on top of keys. Hope that helps

Definitelly CSP itself, app is just a controller

The CSP, but you can't access the various sounds without the app. There are a handful of piano voices you can select without the app though.

Hey Chris. Wonderful comparison as always! I wanted to ask you... If two digital pianos have the same action mechanism model, does that make them having the very same touch and feel? I'm planning on buying a digital piano after studying on my school's Clavinova CLP-535, which I really like. I've recently found the Yamaha YDP-163 that seems to have the same GH3 action. So, will it feel the same as the CLP-535? Thanks in advance!

Fresh Baked Thanks for your answer! From what I have recently read, that escapement mechanism "clicking" feel is actually something that acoustic piano makers try to eliminate since it makes playing pp a bit difficult if you're not precise enough in your playing. So I guess it's not a big deal. As for the polyphony, at home, I've been practicing on Korg Pa1X (a 2004 keyboard if you don't know) that has a polyphony of 32 notes (maybe 64, I'm not sure). So, again, that's not a big deal for me since I want it just for home practicing. :)

If you haven't already, look at the Kawai equivalents, you get a hell of a lot more for the money. I just bought a Kawai CS8 after testing a lot of pianos. Love it.
