It has been over a year since my friend Mauro bought his Yamaha MT-07. This exhaust install has been long overdue. He decided to go for an exhaust system by Arrow with a catalytic converter. I know some of you might be wondering: "why go for a system with cat?". Well, here in Belgium the cops have been setting up "motorcycle check-up stations". They pull you ever check out your motorcycle and yes they even pull out a DB-meter. The cat system is still plenty loud while still being legal (with DB killer). For MT07 nothing beats SC Project. Great sound like them all, but comes with straight headers in all black and 4kg lighter than Stock. It's also fully street legal. DB killer can be removed and replaced with a nut to hold it in place.

I have the Mivv gp pro on my mt 07 2021 and it reached 118 db best sound so far

You don't neccessarily NEED to. But to gain power and such, you'd want to tune it

Hey! I've got a yamaha tracer 700, y2020. Do you know if the yamaha central stand would fit with your arrow exhaust?

Arrow makes an exhaust system for the Tracer 700, I'm not sure if the center stand has to be removed for this to work. I suggest contacting your local Arrow dealer to find out.

Great video, I wish you took the cat out aswell just to see by how much louder it makes it 👍🏻 perfect think I will be ordering mine soon. I guess with this system you don’t get head aches or need earplugs ?

Earplugs are always recommended when you ride a motorcycle, even with a stock exhaust. The real danger is the wind noise. You don't realize it but wind noise produces more dB than your exhaust would.

Hey, i have a question. The spring Under the exhaust. Did you Connect it because i have No fitting spring for it. I have a small one But it seems to be tooo small.

Hi! Just received my arrow exhaust, also with cat. The main question is, yes, it does have some sort of homologation certificate, but… For example, in my country, officer will look at motorcycle frame conformity plate, on MT07 it’s 88dB(+-5 dB instrument error) so it means, if it’ll show more than 93dB, it’s a violation of the law, and officer will not be interested in some sort of other papers… how is it happening in Belgium? Interesting

Here in Belgium it is similar. There are certain noise levels you have to fall under depending on the CCs of the bike and production year of the bike.

With dB-killer in it is still louder compared to stock, but nothing unbearable.

The regulation is 50cm from the exhaust, 45' angle with idle rpm right?

Wait... so it's *louder* than the stock?? What's the point of overpaying then? I thought aftermarket exhausts are quieter and people make them loud by taking out the db killer.

No lol, most people buy them because they like the sound more. Because of all the restrictions the stock one kind of sounds like a vacuum and the new exhaust makes it sound a lot better even with db killer in. People that ride without db killer just want maximum noise which i am also a part of! 🙃

An aftermarket exhaust is meant to make your bike sound better / louder and incase of a full system flow better and thus improve performance.

@@amococ2487 Nope, I was not. Aftermarket exhausts is something that happens in sport/naked community and I used to ride old bikes. MT-07 is my first bike that isn't a cruiser and I find the stock exhaust very loud and high pitched. Wanted to find something that quietly gnarls in low base tones instead but it turns out all aftermarket exhausts scream like little babies and the stock one is actually quite good by comparison.

@@cprn. Oh, OK. Maybe you should create a market for quieter exhausts. That would be unique. Really thought you were joking. Not sure about screaming babies. Most MT-07 exhausts are very deep in tone. Listening on KZfaq is nothing like how it sounds in real life. Ride safe bro
