Hey! I am not sure if you can help me, but I trying. My Keyboard is a Yamaha PSR- EW310. I am wondering if the EW425 has the Strings tones which is the voice number 77 on the EW310? I could not detect it, but maybe you can, and tell me it has it?

Hi .... thank you for your great effort with this tutorial, I've just got this keyboard, but I'm unable to find out how to normalize the left side with the right side (one voice) to play chords with accompaniments on both sides as I have in my PSR s500, for example, I would play the chords on the right side and it would normally sound with the accompaniments, and I can't get this to work on e473, I don't like the smart chord and it seems there is only 2 options of "multi" and "smart chord", is there a way to turn them both off? .... thanks a lot

Hallo, ich habe einen Song auf den USB Stick geladen, in Wav und auch in Midi, aber wie spiele ich die Dateien auf dem Keyboard ab, so das ich mitspielen kann? Ich bin durch die mitgelieferte Gebrauchsanweisung gegangen, aber bin nicht klueger geworden. Fuer einen kurzen Hinweis waere ich Ihnen sehr dankbar! Herzliche Gruesse aus USA!

Das "Mystery" ist geloest! Das hat mich 1 Stunde Autofahrt gekostet, 😱😄 eine Fahrt direkt in ein Musikgeschaeft! Was ich uebrigens in keiner Gebrauchsanleitung gefunden habe, man muss zusätzlich noch den Button "Voice" druecken, dann produzieren die Keys einen Ton beim "playing along"! Um das Volumen zwischen dem Song von den Lautsprechern anzugleichen, noch Knob Assign, 6 und die Regler A und B betaetigen! Ich weiss jetzt nicht, ob Yamaha Deutschland unterschiedliche Funktionen hat! Davon abgesehen moechte ich mich noch einmal fuer Ihre nette Unterstuetzung bedanken und sende Ihnen herzliche Gruess ueber "den grossen Teich" Ihre Arabelle von Talheim PS: Da faellt mir gerade noch ein, stimmt das, dass unser Modell keine Midi und Audiodatein speichert, sie nur wiedergeben kann?

Is a huge improvement for effects but I will not be swapping my ew410 as this new model cannot sample cromaticaly across the keys and Yamaha have reduced samples loop banks to 4 instead of 6. This way the whole point of my purchase (my videos reflect that) so now for example, I cannot recreate old prodigy tracks or create my own sampling music. Only my personal preference and opinion, otherwise I'm out.

Ich besitze das PSR-EW425 mit 76 Tasten. Ich finde die Sounds wirklich sehr gut. Mit seinen 8, x KG ist es wunderbar portabel (ist ja auch ein PSR:) und wird bei mir auch Live auf der Bühne verwendet. Es gibt sicherlich bessere Sounds für wesentlich (!) mehr Geld, aber im Bandkontext sind die Sounds des EW425 absolut tauglich. Wer sich nicht - wie bei Workstations - mit Hüllkurven und vielen Parametern auseinandersetzen möchte, für den oder die ist dieses Keyboard was. Dennoch hat man sehr viele Einstellmöglichkeiten, den Sound für sich anzupassen. Aber es gibt auch ein paar Wermuthstropfen Im Gegensatz zum Vorgänger kann man Samples nicht auf die Tastatur legen (um den Ton anzupassen), sondern lediglich auf die 4 Buttons. Das ist für mich jetzt kein riesiger Nachteil, da es im Grunde nur eine Spielerei ist. Die Tastatur finde ich persönlich ziemlich billig. Damit musste ich mich erst einmal anfreunden (andere Vorgängermodelle haben für meinen Geschmack bessere Tastaturen - z.B. das E433). Das Ausgangssignal zum Mischer ist schwach. Gibt immer Stress mit dem Mischer ("...mach mal lauter" ... "nö , geht nicht") - man kann das Signal durch die Boost-Taste ein paar DB anheben. Nichtsdestotrotz: Ein tolles Keyboard!

I want to hear if the keys make the known from the past annoying mechanical clunk clunk noise like PSR-E363. DON’T BUY A 437. The headphones turn off at random times. Rebooting doesn’t solve the problem. You’ve got to wait a random time to get the headphone output back. The other thing is that voices saved to the bank are saved only partially. When the machine is rebooted some of the saved parameters revert to the (bad) defaults.
