Looking pretty good there ! Track riding is brilliant at showing you how much more is in reserve compared with road riding, meaning less panicking when situations arise on the road 👍

I had 2 bikes purely for track-days a few years ago (ZX6 and R6). I sold them after a year because of the ridiculously long booking time meant you couldn't tell the weather and I always ended up getting soaked after paying good money to enjoy myself months before. Several grand down the 'drain' has put me off of UK trackdays.

If you get the tyres in reasonable operating temperature, and you DONT spin them, choose good lines, avoid any track-specific hazards (like slippery lines or curbs or a patch) its VERY enjoyable

I like the R7 especially in blue ideal road bike.

A bike this underpowered shouldn't be given the R7 namesake....Yamaha should've made a true successor with 3+ cylinders

That Yamaha R7 is the perfect bike to take in the rain. The bike is massively underpowered compared to a 600 so should be really easy to ride in the rain.

Barely making more power than a 90s 400 and weighing a lot more. If they could make these bikes lighter they might be a bit more interesting.
