I also have both cd-s1000 but in silver and cd-s2100 in black, on two different systems. What a CD/SACD players those are, Love them to bits.

Hello, Thanks....., so far only using it in 2ch system you see in pure direct mode, haven't used in home theater yet, my Yamaha separates are working perfectly, bought Yamaha Rx-a8a for a spare... sorry.

Did you honestly hear much of a difference between those two CD players? looking at getting one, I listen to Death Metal Thank you

If you like burr-brown dacs... get the cd-s1000.... if you like sabre ess dacs get the cd-s2100..... and depending on budget..., but metal heads might prefer the cd-s1000... both are good.... remember to let them burn in awhile...... Thanks.... !
