hunter john the T7 handles so well Offroad, sometimes it feels a bit like my EXC ;D but I have to admit, I use it currently for commuting only, such a good bike for everyday use

@@sinki19841984 the 790 also has an undersized clutch, some guys going on a RTW trip all had their clutches explode after 5000kms. And their spare clutches after another 3000. Apparently the diameter is smaller than 300 exc bikes which to me is crazy. You'll see more failures soon, not many failures right now cause it's a hard bike to get a hold of and most people don't ride it enough to see this happen in the first year. The way I see it it's a gravel road bike at best, anything beyond that the clutch won't take the abuse especially with the ridiculously tall 1st gear on that bike.

That bike is pretty heavily modded on the suspension side, but still, nothing a guy with a little coin and know how can’t do in his garage

Just because you can, doesnt mean you should. That thing will be destroyed in a couple of years riding like that. Dirtbikes are cheaper, lighter, easier to fix. T7 is pretty awesome though.

Everyone I know who rides dirt bikes seems to have that same opinion. I too once believed that dual sport bikes were pretty lame until I tried it. You do notice the suspension and the weight but there is something special about taking a massive machine with what feels like unlimited torque and tearing down a trail or up a hill climb. Unless you plan on busting some doubles or triples during your offroad adventures I'd say give it a whirl. The best part is that you can ride to the trails, in between trails, go get lunch, go explore mountain roads and then ride it home. You get the feeling that the world is your playground. If you're a good rider you can keep up with your dirt bike friends in the trails but you'll probably want to avoid the tracks!

@@krp-xe3hw I'll take a modded Africa Twin or T7 down a trail a trail any day with the right tires. You have to have a light heart for these things, just dont take it on a mx track or into a bog.

It is not realistic. Adventure bike is not MX or Enduro. That rider has the skills for it. 90% of riders will never ride that 200kg bike this way. BTW Yamaha t700 launch videos shows enough hard riding

they vary too much in price and packaging. would be nice though to have classes and limits for each class so we have some actual competition and not just marketing schemes to push bikes.
