As a Xeno trumpet player, I appreciate the quality of Yamaha's instruments. The level of skill which must go into making these is incredible!

I just ordered my Yamaha YTR-8335GS Xeno Trumpet today, and its arriving at the end of the month! I'm so excited to expand my playing with this pure masterpiece of a trumpet, and now seeing how they are meticulously and splendidly crafted with the most precise expertise, I think I'll be using this trumpet for the rest of my life.

I own a Yamaha YCB-826S, the so-called YamaYork tuba. It is, by far, the easiest tuba to play of all the many I have owned during my 38 years (so far) of playing professionally. I love it.

They really are high quality instruments. Tested out a Xeno Custom last year and it was amazing.

I love that they make actually good, reliable and affordable student grade instruments. For now Im playing on an ytr 2335. For the price its a fantastic instrument. I am looking to upgrade to a bach strad, but will keep my yamaha as a secondary. I have played it in professional settings mulitible times without problems

Right now I'm moving from my old student jtr700 to the Yamaha Xeno. My friend has a bach and it plays well, even while being 30 years old and literally becoming unsodered 😂

It's incredible the scale that Yamaha has been able to achieve making instruments by hand.

Problems with new 5335gsii, discolouration and black marks inside valves, replaced one trumpet only to find similar problems that they could not explain. Eventual 5 months in their UK workshop resulted in middle valve being lapped but was sticking right out of the box on return. Horrendous experience from an unhelpful UK London shop! Refunded and we have no confidence in Yamaha trumpets, so this is all marketing tat!

I currently play a bach but I used to play a Yamaha and know of many amazing players who play yamaha, it sounds like you've just had a bad experience they are truly terrific instruments!

Wow - your experience is unique, at least to me. I’ve played Yamaha horns since the early 1980’s and have found their quality control to be superb - much higher than the other makes of horns I own. And if your shop wasn’t helping you resolve these issues - I’d have to ask why not?

I hate how artists come over feeling like they are the center of attention when in reality none of the little yellow "slaves" making their instruments care.
