Thanks. I’m also a Colorado old timer that worked as a motorcycle technician in the 70’s, 80’s, and early 90’s. It’s a hobby now.

I'm a Colorado old timer that hated the appearance of the Japanese twins when they came out (I was into Nortons), fantastic job of transforming that butt ugly 'bike'. I checked your channel and see you seem to like that pure deep red, that was very close to the color of my Commando 'S' back in 1970... nice work, man, cheers

I bought the Niche header pipes on eBay and then had an aftermarket silencer welded to it (also from eBay) Thanks for the comment

No box of rocks sound from your starter. Any tips you can shall?

I replaced the starter gears and installed the clip on the tension spring. The bendix spring was missing when I took the cover off, so I left it out. I installed a new 4 brush starter motor, new lithium battery. The "rocks" are still there, but it fires right up so you don't really notice it.

@@coloradomotorcyclehobbyist4266 yes I have also replaced that starter gear but I removed the clip that the previous owner installed. I added a voltage stabilizer which allows it to start right up. With the clip I can hear your starter stop immediately after you release the button. Mine winds down slower after it starts without the clip. Thx for the video.
