Really helpful, thank you. I'm about to attempt a service for the first time on the same bike and feel much more confident now. Cheers. Dan

Thanks for knowledge sharing! I love that small detail, that you put the pictures of things that are off camera.

Noce video, thanks for sharing. I would also add some details for the user. First, the engine should be hot, before draining the oil. You clean all the engine bolts which are in contact with inside of engine using brush to remove residues and sand before unscrewing. It can't get inside. Then you uscrew the upper bolt (oil inlet) to ease the old oil flow from bottom. Put some paper or cloth on top so the air can flow and prevent undrepressure of engine oil system. You unscrew the drain bolt and put new CU washer to the drain bolt (it has to be renewed). You let the gravity do the job and oil flows out to the pan. You unscrew the oil filter. Remember that everything around the engine is hot, the filter and old oil too. Then you are doing the steps the other way round. Clean all places gently using cloth so no sand gets inside the engine. You put a bit of new oil to rubber of the filter so the seal slides better, pour new oil inside the filter, so it's not dry and then screw whole filter in using only the hand. Then you scew in drain bolt with new washer. Also by hand. Then you wait 2 hours for the engine to be cold. Then take a torque wrench and tighten filer using 17Nm and drain bolt with 43Nm. Using the hand isn't an option. For you may a bolt be loose, for someone else tight. Math does the thing - correct torque. Pour the oil inside (around 2,5 L). Start the engine for one minute. Stop the engine and fill the rest of oil to correct amount. Screw in the oil cap. Same with the plugs - prevent residues from outside and use torque wrench. All the data is in service manuals.

Love the pace and clarity of every step, nice bike too! My 2010 XJ6S Diversion fuel pump needs service, reducing throttle intermittently, coming back right up after restart but never for too long. Do you have a service video with tips Dizzy? Thanks so much!

Wow, (pre)owner managed it to turn a decent bike into a piece of shit by poor maintenence, imho. Glad you took care of it. 👍
