@@klassikfahrer The Yamaha 650 twins might be the best British bikes ever built but I'd say the original Kawasaki W1 W2 and W3 650s are the most British bikes built in Japan

@@hodaka1000 Oh yes, the Kawasakis are really wonderful motorcycles. I can definitely get involved in a compromise between Yamaha and Kawasaki 😉 The Japanese built very beautiful motorcycles, especially in the late 60s and early 70s. Of course, this also applies to Honda, who made history with their CB models. And Suzuki also launched many beautiful, legendary models on the market. For Yamaha, the XS1 650 was an important step and with the XS2 650 they have, in my opinion, brought one of the most beautiful models in the 500-750cc engine class onto the market. @@klassikfahrer Besides four or five Hodaka enduros like the Hodaka Wombat in my profile photo, I have an Australian release 1978 SR500 2J2 Although they stopped manufacturing the SR500 in 1999 or 2000 and stopped manufacturing the SR400 in 2021 they are still available now in Thailand with the 2024 model I suppose the 2024 models are surplus old stock 2021 models but they are still available after a model run of forty six years I say these later SR400s are like the ABBA revival revival band, they look virtually identical to the original impersonators
