This is the first video, about my Yamaha XS 650 project.
The talented mechanic Leonel, owner of Oficina das Motas, finally got some time to start the building process.
On this video, I explain my design approach, and also most of the parts I bought so far.
But I also present good tips to help you with your own shopping on the Internet.
Most of the motorcycle parts presented on this video, were bought on the "Kickstarter Classics" Website( www.kickstartershop.de/en/ind...)
I hope you enjoy the video.

I'm taking a firm stand, and anyone that disagrees is wicked wrong; the parallel twin, Yamaha 650 engine is one of the greatest mills ever created! Take that, you 4 cylinder people.

I think you are right. It is not by accident that most people consider the XS650 engine, as Yamaha's best engine ever made. :) Cheers.

Looks amazing so far. Memories of a long time ago. My Yamaha XS650 special and my Buddy's 750 Norton when stationed at NAS North Island 1975-78.

Over the years I've owned many motorcycles, including a Norton 850 Commando and a Yamaha XS 650. Your description between the two is spot on. The choice of the Peashooter exhaust will be perfect for this project. I am definately looking forward to following this project, and I'm absolutely sure that the end product will be worth the wait! Just remember it's the journey, not the destination...

I love this guy. He sounds like a villain from a James Bond film; I'm sure he has a swimming pool with sharks in it and a button he presses at the dining table where unwanted guests fall through a trap door. Looking forward to seeing how this project goes.

Tenho uma Honda 1982, gosto bastante dela! Também é minha única moto, e tenho ela a 20 anos. Mas, tudo que você falou sobre a Yamaha, para mim sempre foi verdade! A Yamaha sempre foi inovadora, agora inclusive irá lançar uma moto turbo! Uma solução oposta de toda a indústria que está aumentando a cilindrada. E eu sinto que a Yamaha faz o que o público quer com uma mecânica muito confiável! Quero terminar a minha Honda CB400 para poder me dedicar a um projeto com uma Yamaha! Very nice, this Motorcycle going to be one of the best and beatifull Cafe Race of the world in this year, and maybe, next year too!! Parabéns, vc tem um dom muito especial que é a "Visão" ou "Visagismo". Tudo que olha analisa o quê poderia ser melhorado. Parabéns novamente, tenho certeza que será uma Café digna de muitas exposições vitoriosas!! Resido no Brasil, e aqui se encontra muito facilmente as Honda CB 450cc. Eu particularmente gostaria de fazer uma réplica das Norton Manx dos anos 1950, com o depósito idêntico até na cor ( cinza ou cromo). E o seu vídeo me faz muito feliz, pois seria como uma realização de um sonho pra mim. Grande abraço e obrigado pelos seus ótimos vídeos!!!🙏🙏🙏

oh gosh i just finished mine little honda cg 125,new engine is on the way so it will be 175cc,i have another bike too that i will make into a cafe racer a yamaha virago xv 250 cant wait for that good job cant wait for episode 2 :D
