Testing my 1991 Yamaha YZ250, running rich and has a massive exhaust leak so not running quite right yet.

1991 and 1992 YZ250's are my favorites. Ive got a 1990 CR250 in my bedroom that needs to be finished (In pieces). I was 16 in 1991. I wish I could go back in time

Oh my God that takes me back.. I drooled at thos bikes on an ad for months on end. I had the 91 pw80 at the time.

Raced a 1987 yz250 until 1992, in 1992 I got a 1991 yz250 raced all 1992 and SoLd the 1991. No matter what we did to that suspension the ASS end slid out everywhere, whereas the 1987 yz 250 was amazing in the corners, even in your video each time you make a corner you can see the ass end is sliding out.. They had for sure PHUKED up the rear suspension or the rear geometry somehow and the bike just cornered for shit

Awesome bike! I had a 1994 Honda CR250. Also a great bike. But i couldn't resist.. I changed that bike to a 2004 KTM 525sx.

@@AbcAbc-ox6pg causes more problems when u take it out n try n start it after sitting for acouple years .Bad gas sitting in carb, etc..

Amazing bike ! I have recently bought yz 250 1993. It came with Mikuni TM 38-27 with main jet 290.Try to change it to 330, but it was bogging. Could you sugest oil/gasoline mixture ? Can you tell me your carb settings. Thanks in advance !

that yz will run much better when i fix the exhaust leak and replaced that mikuni carb with keihin pwk.

Agreed! I’m 52, and still enjoy riding all my old (mint) 2-strokes regularly. My favorites are 1988 KX500 & 1998 YZ250. Nothing stock on the YZ except the fuel tank💪😄

I have a 93 and had carb issues also, swap the carb out with a newer 2t carb from ebay or wherever you like. Solved my issues!

Nope, KX250 is easier to handle for jumping or trail riding. KX500 is awesome for open space or gravel roads.

that 89 Cr250 is my bros bike, they are pretty similar but the CR250 has more top end power and the 91 YZ250 is more mid range engine, both are great bikes.
