Hey brother I just picked up a 23 YZ250X first ride I couldn't stop smiling. At 71 years young I still got it. What a light and fun bike!

I love the visceral power of the X. And the sound is amazing. It has a signature growl when you lug it. Definitely going down as one of the best bikes in the industry in the years to come.

Have a 2022 yz250x has 87 hours on it know still runs super strong but am going to do some preventive maintenance like new piston and reeds as well as suspension service but ever time I swing a leg over it I am happy with the power lifts from end up like nothing and is super fun in hard enduro stuff as well as moto tracks and big jumps

FUCK I can't wait to get mine! How do you like the gearing stick? Completely agree on the old school Raw feel of the YZ compared to the muted DULL feel of the New KTMs. Rode a new 300 yesterday. Just didn't do it for me!
@scottrugenstein70345 ай бұрын
Spent 20 years on KTM. Went BLU Cru about 2 years ago. KTM, They are not what they used to be. Yamaha is the better bike, and suspension is miles ahead of anything WP is doing, at least stock components

Question for you Sir. Bu the way, i love my SBC setup! Anyway, i noticed you're forks sit lower in the triple tree clamps than mine. I have a 22 but never touched them. The fork actually comes exactly allighned with the top of the clamp so it looks flush. Did you lower your forks? Seeing this has got me wondering if my forks are sitting too high!
@roberturmosi-dirtbike-atv2 ай бұрын
Hi Michael, good to hear the SBC set up work well for you. My set up stick 13mm above the triple clamp the reason for that to move the front wheel closer to the engine which helps greatly with corners. Your current set up work best in a fast straight section, the bike not going to walk sideways for you just goes straight and it’s staying stable. If you ride a slower technical trails with a lot of turns you one to have the fork sticking above the triple clamp. 👍
@MichaelSchwab-nk4rm2 ай бұрын
@@roberturmosi-dirtbike-atv Yeah that makes a lot of sense. I'd like a little lore turn in so maybe I'll go 5mm at a time to try it out. Thank you Sir

Is this the fmf for the normal yz or is there a specific one for the x version? I heard they don’t run right with a fmf fatty
@roberturmosi-dirtbike-atv10 ай бұрын
It's an FMF Gnarly with a titanium 2.1 silencer, My X runs really good with this set up
@quirinm.9 ай бұрын
@@roberturmosi-dirtbike-atvidk if it interest you but i borrowed a normal fatty pipe to try out on mine and it also works great on the X, it has a bit less power down low but noticeable more top end power and revs out higher

I ride a 2003 yz 250 i was debating on getting the 450fx or a 250x have you ridden the 450s before?
@roberturmosi-dirtbike-atv10 ай бұрын
The modern 450 are too much for most people. my Frend got a broken shoulder he sold the 450 and happy with a 2023 cr250. I have ridden a 450 and I like it, but I ride at least 3 times a week.
@ShortBusEnduro10 ай бұрын
Just look and see how many 450’s are for sale. They’re heavy and a chore to ride in the woods. A 250 2stroke is lighter, more nimble and fun to ride. They let 250 2strokes race with 450’s in supercross, so that should show you how much power they have.
@Dashriprock48 ай бұрын
I would run away from a 450 like my hair was on fire. A 350 is a fantastic bike with all the power you'll need

No good for tight single track. No electric start not counter balanced and too snappy.
