Welcome to the Ducati family, Papa Yams!! The Scramblers are great “city” bikes for sure, and fun as hell, especially now that they have higher cc engines!!! WARNING: the amount of Dainese gear in your home is about to increase SIGNIFICANTLY!!! 😂🤣😂🤣😂👍🏾

I once had a nice $500 Dainese jacket with Ducati emblazoned on the front. It was really cool as long as you ignore all those really nice jackets from manufacturers with less cachet that cost around $300.

Looks like a bike you could love, lots of character, comfortable. Don't let anyone tell you it lacks power compared to a litre bike, it isn't a litre bike. Will be as much power as you need for the street. I run small, lightweight, low cc bikes as I like the challenge.

Very good choice. The scrambler led me to wanting to purchase my first motorcycle. I decided against the Ducati though because of insurance reasons. But I still got a naked bike. Buell XB9SX. Make sure to look around for good deals and all that. Naked bikes are awesome. Take a look at the GS500F without it's fairings. Cheap starter bike with the naked look as well.

Came back to dealership later in the day with a smile shining out from the muddy face. Sold! "Y'all just have to detail it for me now! "Lmaooo! One of the best bikes I own. Excellent choice, I know exactly what you are talking about. I was riding a Ducati Desert Sled loaner in April on Mallorca (Spain) and I had a blast. Shorties rejoice! I’m 5’6, 155lbs, inseam 29 inches on a good day. Just sat on a sled at the dealer. Can swing a leg over and with my right foot on the brake, left leg is down solid on the balls of my foot. If I scooch a butt cheek off the seat a little I’m flat foot, dirt bike style. With the sag set for my weight I reckon it’ll be a bit easier. Don’t be scared off if your a shorty like me!!

Man is this a sign? 😂 Crashed my scrambler yesterday. Lowsided and luckily I'm okay! Thank God for the design though. The wide handlebars kept the tank off the ground, the pillion pegs kept the rear up and the only damage was a bent gear lever, scuffed pegs and a snapped clutch lever. Hopefully it will be back on the road tomorrow!

Love your choice... sorta. As you say if you love it, get it. You mention not loving other Ducati models. I am exactly opposite. I love pretty much all other Ducati models, this one, not so much. I have dirt bikes, I have street bikes. Dual sports in my opinion are just a compromise that are not excellent at anything. But if you got to, or want to go there then this is a good choice. This is a street bike that will also do well on dirt roads. But it will never experience off-road mud. And to avoid getting mud packed under the fender is why the fender is mounted high on a real dirt bike. Which on this bike will never happen and is just a bogus styling cue. To me it looks stupid and out of place. Just my opinion. You can love it if you like.

One of the few ducks I like, and the only bike thus far I'd consider vying for in a giveaway. Learn to slide and you'll have a blast on the fireroads with that sled.

I have a 848 and HAD a 996- i love Ducati and the way they perform across the board 100%. I have a question PaPa Yamm- why doesnt Ducati have a dirt bike? Like it would be epic to see a Ducati factory team in the Motorcross championship.🤓😀🧐

I’ve never really liked Ducati’s, but I kinda want one of these now.
