The H2 is a big black and green Kawasaki unicorn. The fact that such a thing even exists is both hilariously mind bogglingly absurd and also absolutely amazing. It's a piece of legendary abstract art. There's almost no use case for it except in the niche and extreme categories of motorcycling. Forget the track Yams. I challenge you to daily ride that H2 for a month.

@@rinzler1767 I've seen some of his videos. Nothing really out of the ordinary. Just another dude that has enough money in his life to buy whatever. I have a 2018 fireblade and a 2015 h2. But I ride 99% of the time on my Suzuki 200 scooter hahaha. Like I said, very niche and extreme uses for these super bikes. And I'm literally afraid of anything scratching up my litre bikes after spending half my life savings on them hahaha

Fun fact: The h2 was supposed to have a cradle frame like the zx10 and zzr1400 until in development they found out about the overheating issues, after spending all their r&d on the motor and supercharger, they just put on a tubular frame knowing the main target audience for the h2 was not racers 🤷‍♂️

YAM! My dude! I track my H2. Was in the recent FastLaneD track video. Thumbnail says “My first knee drag”. Was showing him smoother lines. Starts at 23:55. Anyways, I’ve always wanted to ride COTA with the H2. Let me know when and I’ll bring mine out there.

It would be a fun experiment to take the H2 to the track. But like you best explained, it’s not made for that. The straight line stability you need above two hundred miles per hour is different than the agility necessary for the track.

100% agree. This is exactly why even though I normally ride my FJR1300 (700 lbs), which I absolutely love, that I'm going to grab a nice R3 so that I can wring its neck around the twisty roads that I live near and just flick it around in all of its lightweight, low power glory.

I primarily ride at chuckwalla and willow track here in southern ca. Having ridden my cbr600, an r1, and a cbr1000 there was power there but felt difficult to use. Probably outside of my ability but also power felt beyond what was necessary for the track. I mean current lap record is Ari Henning on a 300 lol I totally get what you mean. Even if I got better to get more out of the 1000 I could get more out of my 600 as well.

The amount of torque makes it good sport touring bike, i love my H2 SX SE, will drop you an email once the weather is cooler to ride from Houston to Austen, so you check my H2 SX

I agree. But like you said it’s all about the unique experience. Just like everyone should own a v4 powered bike at some point, if you ever get the chance to ride a supercharged bike, you should do it.

Track it. Also it's all about what you're used to and comfortable with. I've owned a bunch of different big powerful bikes, and I've dusted plenty of gixxers on back roads with stretched bikes lol.

I am on my second super Duke 1290r. That engine with both torque and horsepower down low. If you compare dyno curves H2, Streetfighter v4 and others, SD more horsepower and torque all below 9500 rpm than competitors bikes. Streetable rpm vs high rpm track

Not surprising. It's difficult enough to try and do 100mph on a Ninja 650 on UK roads, let alone 200MPH+ on that thing. I can understand the bragging rights thing, but it's meaningless if you think about it? Also, have you noticed that in the last few decades, cars/bikes are getting faster and faster, but the speed limits/limitations are getting slower and slower? When I first started riding around 26 years ago, we could peg the throttle wide open 80% of the time, and regularly would do 120mph. but now, we have 20MPH speed limits everywhere, and so much traffic, it makes enjoying the wide open road, more difficult :-(

I think you should take it to Bonneville. Take your protective gear off and lay flat on the bike wearing only slippers, shorts and a helmet to reduce air resistance, and give it the beans down the line like Rollie Free did in 1948. He did 150mph; I'm sure you can do 250mph. Good luck!

Do take it to a twisty race track, and if at all possible try to get your hands on a 250cc two-stroke race bike (Yamaha TZ250, Honda RS250, etc.) and see which one is faster around the track. My money is on the 250. 🙂

True ! Whoops in and out traffic will not that fast. The H2 is just fast for straight line but when it’s comes to traffic road other smaller bike will have more advantage.

Yes I agree with you the zx14. Busa and h2 are for going fast in a straight line on the highway or cross-country anaqua Corner in because those bikes are super heavy zx14 593 ib busa 587 ib and the h2 530 ib

Yes. If you look at catagories then the H2 is a drag bike and a GIXR 1000 is a street bike. The comparison is like running a funny car on a nascar track. I enjoyed the vid but seriously, what is your point? Take it to the track and be very throttle conscious. Basically the dodge Hellcat/Deamon of motorcycles. Awesome times on prepred surfaces and high speed events. Embarrassing on the street with street tyres on a regular road. Oh and it's couldn't keep up with any moderately powered sports cars on twisty roads. Dose mean it's a bad car, cirtianlly not! V8 supercharged with 800hp on demand is always going to put a smile on your face especially when its such a wild ride.

I just bought a Kawasaki 4rr and it's extremely nimble. You're right there is a big difference in being fast vs being quick.

@@WallyST675 I haven't been on one myself. That being said, I bet the handling is peerless, and the 400 keeps a grin on your face while revving to the moon. If you avoid the highway/track and stick to the twisties, then you won't use more than about 75hp to ride REALLY fast anyway.

Had an H2 since 2015, in Europe i got it standard with Akrapovic, for fun i put it on the dyno it showed 207bhp on the wheel, also have an 2014 zzr1400ps that did 196bhp on the wheel, but the H2 is much faster, also you should see the test between a R1, Hayabusa and the H2 that motorcyclenews did, it's on youtube, the H2 is not only faster it's much faster, several magazines has also track tested it against the other liter bikes and it's actually doing much better than they thought but not on a small narrow track of course, to compare between tuned bikes depends on who tunes it, you are right about it's all about the feeling though

Funny, I should prolly explain that to my Flashed Z H2 that's smoking flashed, carbon wheeled, lowered ZX-10's. LOL! I guess my Z didn't get the memo. 😛
