Is that American English for subtitles? There are a good many viewers of UC on KZfaq who are not native speakers of English (excl. myself), which is why one may in comments see how they greatly appreciate it. Don't know how difficult it is to add subtitles, however.

I think this the previously dominant teams are getting eliminated early this series.

Yeh! Manchester was pretty dreadful this year and Oxbridge teams are doing well. Imperial teams are always quite well-rounded and a likable bunch. I find that Scientists can be incredibly well-informed on Arts and Culture..while Humanities students are mostly rather ignorant on the Sciences.

What do you think is the main reason that a university of 30000 students cannot find a better team than a college of a few hundreds? Whatever the answers, it's a sign that the country continues in the trend of increasing inequality for at least another 50 years. These Imperial kids will become doctors, engineers, and scientists earning decent but relatively low wages. The Oriel kids will be writers, tv presenters, bankers, journalists, lawyers, politicians, making millions.

Ballantyne Moyes As a college sophomore, for the most part, I listen to classical music while I study, but it's passive and it's on the radio so I don't associate the composer with the piece. I can tell you if I've heard a piece before or not, but I can't tell you who the composer is most of the time, let alone what it is called.

Christian: Thank you for your response. At least you are listening to such music. It's a bit like me with the popular music of today - I can recognise the tune but often have no idea of the artist and, indeed, when I see some names written, I don't know how to pronounce them as many radio stations just play the song as if everybody is in on the secret of who is singing/playing. :-)

Ballantyne Moyes In a way, I relate to that too. Today I just got back from driving around with my friends, and they were playing these songs that they all knew word-for-word, but I hadn't heard them before. I guess my music taste of classic rock, showtunes, and jazz is too eclectic in company.

Have since boyhood been keen mainly on classical music but (call me a barbarian if you will) have hardly ever been able to say who composed the pieces (incl. favourites), even less what the particular piece was called. It's simply of no interest to me.
