Great video! I bought a smaller YardMax, but still wanted to watch your video to be sure I knew what I was doing. This video assured me that I assembled it correctly and know how to start it when the first storm of the year arrives here in MN. Thank you!

I bought this model from Walmart for $650 shipped, including taxes. It went out of stock shortly thereafter. This video was helpful in the assembly, thanks! As for performance, I love this blower! It feels like good quality, with a metal chute. I appreciate the mounted light more than I thought I would. Starts so easy in 20 degree weather I can't imagine needing the electric start. Also pleasantly surprised it has one handed operation: if you press both the gas lever and the auger lever, you can let go of the auger lever and the blower will move forward so your left hand can operation the directional chute control if needed. And of course it throws snow well!

I have the Yardmax YB6780 which is the 2019 26 inch snow blower. It is for the cabin and the first time I used it was to clear 20 to 24 inches of snow from the driveway at the cabin. The first pass was done by a neighbour with a massive machine and I had to do passes 2 thirds to half passes due to the depth of the snow. The engine starts with one pull and it is an easy pull. Nice machine for sure. Throws the snow a ways and the engine runs nice.

Do not try to pound a roll pin into the transmission shaft, the roll pins are for the impeller shaft behind the augers, the roll pins are replacements (if needed)! There is a bolt and nut for the transmission shaft.

Good job on your review. QUESTION: What does the “RUN TIME 100hr.” In the Specifications mean? Does it mean after 100 hours, change the oil???? And is there a RUN TIME METER on the snow thrower? Where do you plug in power to start it was the electric starter? I’m looking to buy a snow thrower for my son. Thank you for the help. 👍🏼

Snow? We have Snow Cones in summer in New Orleans. I like the ones with condensed milk in the middle. Might buy a couple of extra primer bulbs as those seem to be first failure point in many gas engines, often hard to find and essential. Peace

Thank you SO MUCH for your video. You made a daunting task far easier. The instructions that came with it are less than stellar. If there's some way I could Venmo you a few dollars for a couple of beers or a Starbucks or two, I'd like to do so. I see you have merch, but I'd rather not pay for an item I don't want or need and would like to see the money go directly to you. Again, thanks for making an afternoon project turn into a couple hour project!!

I'm stuck on the part at 6:10 with the shifter linkage arm. So far it's been a huge pain in the butt trying to pound the pin in while keeping the outside part from moving and losing alignment. If you ever add to the video, any advice on how to do that would be appreciated.
@NelsonCrumbaker
@NelsonCrumbaker 4 жыл бұрын
I had the same problem. I had to get the pin started before putting the linkage plate on. It was still hard to keep things lined up. I put a small screwdriver on the other side to keep the holes lined up and then pounded it in. You have to hit it hard, many times. You might want to put some cardboard or something up against the snowblower to the hammer doesn't leave a bunch of damage.
@RUIP85
@RUIP85 3 жыл бұрын
It’s actually not supposed to be a pin used for the linkage, I fought with it for a while and got pin in and then found my instructions and it’s supposed to be a bolt and nut on the linkage it’s step 6 on the instructions. The pin is actually a spare part used for repairs

Just bought this and noticed that the right side axle has only one hole for the axle pin and the left side has two holes for axle pin. anyone know if this is common or a manufacturer error? The right side axle pin keeps coming off which allows the tire to fall off.

@@merlegunnsr3666I use older trash picked snow blowers that are usually no older than 1980s. The common Brands like MTD and Toro models of these companies have pretty much kept the same for a long time and even the engine manufacturer Tecumseh was no longer around still has aftermarket parts available for it.
