Top Man, I disassembled the remote all seemed ok, put it back, & everything worked again. Jamed button indeed, thank you so much for your information. I even bought a used display from e-bay, with the same resuli of course! I would never have guessed it was a problem with the remote, I know you were right when I unplugged the remote when I removed it, and tired the buttons on the display & they all worked! Thank you so much☺

I have the same kind of problem on my Toyota Yaris. Yesterday my radio worked fine. All the sudden the sound stopped. The radio is working, switching channels, display works oke. The only thing is, the volume button on the radio are not responding, the volume buttons on the steer is not responding. The mode and up/down on the steer ARE responding. But there is no sound whatever setting i do. No sound. BUT i do hear the beep from the speakers when a save a frequency channel. I removed the remote from the steer, no change. I checked all the fuses, all good. I can't seem to figure out what the problem is.
