The Punisher 1x1 Reaction and Commentary "3AM"
Now that I've finished Daredevil, I'm reacting to The Punisher! I love Jon Bernthal as Frank Castle so I'm very excited to see more of him in this show.

Except right now in comics where has the powers of the greek god of war and the ancient and mystical powers of the Hand...oh and that one time he was an undead Frankenstein monster called Frankencastle...or that one time he was an angel that worked for god and hunted demons. But other than that yeah no superpowers at all.

I was referring to the regular Frank. I've never liked it when writers give him powers. Least of all Franken-Castle. I get a mild headache whenever that abomination is brought back up.

I love it when people say "you have to talk to someone." No, some people just want to be left alone and it's no one else's business.

Nobody has to talk, it’s just stupid to bottle it up. Keeping it in is only a form of stubbornness and doesn’t help anything, but nobody can force someone to talk to anyone, and i understand how annoying it is to be pressured when you’re not *ready* to talk about it, but it’s also not exactly good for you mentally, and yes, it’s proven, not everyone believes In mental health, but it’s a thing regardless.

People can want to be left alone, but I hope you don’t need to be told what happens when someone with the level of franks rage and ptsd does in real life. The lists and examples go on and on and on, someone left alone with nowhere for his anger or emotions to go. Then go to kill, abuse, rape, or do whatever heinous evil shit they want. No one has to talk to anyone, but depending on context it is definitely “someone’s business” especially when it involves killing people smh

Glad you finally got to this. The first comic I ever read of the Punisher was where he took down the members of a human trafficking ring and that was what I liked about Frank. His enemies are not costumed villains or aliens from space they are mostly depraved humans people with the same capacity for brutal acts like him. The show was a good start Frank completed his mission but even still he is miserable trying to live a normal life disturbing as it is taking those thugs for trying to kill his friend was where he seemed to be the most at ease.

Cutting to the corpses of Maria & the kids would be straight out of Marvel MAX Punisher comic so you stated it perfect. Also the end where he takes out the mobsters, he's wearing white gloves, it's a homage to the original comic form the 70's-80's where Frank wore while gloves & boots along with a black spandex looking uniform.

I really dig Frank Castle in his Daredevil appearances but this show came out swinging hard. It was painful. Season two felt lighter and was still very good.
