I suspect that if the Palestinians were of any other religion than Islam, they would have worked out some way of living with Israel by now. However, many of them bring up their children to believe they will go to Paradise as martyrs and make their family proud if they die fighting Jews, that Jews are descended from apes and pigs 🐖 (a verse in the Quran is usually interpreted to mean this) and that Muslims must never give up land they once conquered to infidels, so peace is elusive.

Christianity and Judaism are also a huge threat in the UK. Its such a huge lie to say the West is based on Judeo-Christian values, its not. The West is based on the enlightenment, its principles, the age of reason, before that the Renaissance, basically the age of secularism. The idea of secularism is to be against all organised religion invading people's lives and in government. If we went back to the days of Christendom and to the days of Jewish temples, the ruling classes being groups like the Pharisees, the world would once again turn into a prison. You can see that where ever Islam goes, oppression and suppression.

I learnt the truth about Mammed and Islam from Indian scholars raised as muslims and who had converted to Christianity. Often they have to go into hiding. Unlike Christianity there are no apologetics and no criticism allowed. It's outrageous that governments have allowed the term 'Islamaphobia', to stop any criticism of this terrifying ideology. They have made matters worse.
@jobirbatti67139 ай бұрын
After witnessing all atrocities that have been carried out by followers of a particular ideology, which is condoned by their religious teachings, is it still unfounded fear? How many more people should perish by their sword before we say enough is enough? And call it what it is without being politically correct and appeasing them. It can only get worse as the number is very important to them. "If you are a majority, why do you seek peace?" That's one of the teachings they aspire to.

Imagine if within a Catholic family a child is subjected to physical violence for non-compliance to religious teachings - the state would absolutely step in but in the case of Islam they make a curious exception. We can only assume that the fear of extreme Islam cowers them to disavow their principles.
@heikejohannajahns32577 ай бұрын
Exactly. And that empowers them. We should be strict. That is also what they respect. I wonder why the koran is allowed. Imagine a book which would contain over a 100 times the call to kill Muslims. 'Strike their necks and chop of their fingers'. 'Muslims are the worst of all creatures'. And ao on. That's just vice versa. Why would that be a scandal, but threatening us non-muslims is fine? They are afraid because Islam's answer is always 'Kill!'. A united effort of all non-muslim countries to allow only a koran where these verses are blacked could be a strong signal.

Her book 'Unveiled' is great: interesting, well-written, informative, sometimes moving. My only criticism of it is a minor one. The subtitle 'How Western Liberals Empower Radical Islam' is misleading as that is a very small part of the book. It is mostly about her experience of being brought up in militant Islam, mostly in Canada but also in Egypt, and how she eventually thought for herself and broke free.
@FionaKumariCampbell Жыл бұрын
Totally agree, the book does not directly address that question
@Blkjewess924 ай бұрын
I don't think it's misleading at all. I think she did a great job of weaving examples of "how western liberals empower radical Islam" into the story where it applied to her personal life/experience and explaining how that enabling reverberates through the arab muslim world and ultimately victimizes the very ppl they're attempting to advocate for. I think it's perfectly titled. Unveiled is the main title bc it's the main story, how she grew in up and broke free of fundamentalist islam and "how western liberals..." is the subtitle. It is the smaller, but equally important, part of the story that demonstrates how "western liberal identity politics" held her (and others the world over) captive in fundamentalist islam longer than she would've been if she'd been protected like any other child who wasn't in an arab muslim family

@@richardpayneMarxism, an essentially atheistic ideology, has likely killled far more people over a shorter period of time than any god. I'm not making the case for gods, merely that human beings will always find an excuse to do terrible things to each other regardless.
@richardpayne2 жыл бұрын
@@gerhard7323 but marxism does not provide a justification for atrocity, nor is it inherently atheistic. The reason most marxist states have been atheistic is because they also happened to be authoritarian and did not want the competition. The problem with the concept of gods is that they tempt believers to abdicate responsibility for their own moral choices.

@@richardpayne The ideology or the icons of that ideology simply replace the deity which can then provide the external superior authority to do bad things. I accept that its part of the human condition to seek out that higher sanction in order to justify evil acts and thereby absolve one from blame, but it amounts to much the same thing. Yes, having someone nobody can physically see, who can't actually speak and who can't be contacted helps this process enormously, but, again, it amounts to much the same thing.

@@gerhard7323 sure, I agree but then you're straying from Marxism and into a form of religion.

We keep saying how brave she is ... but the fact that it is so dangerous to say what she does is a problem no mainstream politician wants to touch. Her stories of girls not being helped in Canada bec. it's "your culture" is heartbreakibg.

Wow!! Amazing. I am American but have been seeing same disturbing trends from liberals here (though they are so much better than their counterparts in UK and Canada)- some of the things I have found downright wrong is (I) allowing some to go off PE thereby endangering kids physical health in the name of religion. (ii) Allowing extended recesses and concessions for a month long fast when it has severe effect on productivity whether at school or at work - no one dares to question this but everyone simply plays along. Why does West not ask for an unbiased scientific study to see what sort of effects such fasts will have on kids and workers? Especially those workers involved in jobs that require intense focus. Would west allow such things for their own people without a scientific study? None of this would have been allowed had these ppl been of a different religious denomination. I am originally from India where right now the highest court of the land is hearing a vociferous petition demanding the right to wear hijab in schools and colleges - right they demand should supersede pre existing dress code norms (India being a poor country insists on dress codes all the way through high school so that rich don’t flaunt their riches in front of many students who will be very poor). What everyone misses out with such hijab demand is that the minute the court capitulates for the hijab demand - every child who is muslim will come in hijab - WITHOUT exception, simply because they will be forced to.

I have never been a right winger thought I enjoy reading the Spectator, but we need to stand up, to radical Islamism and it's attempts to cower us into submission, it is not all Muslims but those that seek to present an Islamist ideological challenge to our society through their language or violence.

They work as a complex system. Some are operatives, otherss supporters, enablers, others are political or agitators and others are funding, sometimes from far away. They have inside help from wokism. We're doomed indeed.
