So many adults failed you. Leaving a pregnant teen to live with friends? Having an 18 year old taking care of two babies and 2 siblings? You deserved so much better from the adults in your life.

@amaamzat9913 you obviously didn't listen to her properly. They didn't fail her. She took her siblings because she didn't want her Grandma looking after such young children. She didn't move when her family did as she said she had her life where she was!
@jennifercate8996
@jennifercate8996 Ай бұрын
Hmm, I can kinda see your point. & she was definitely failed by her mother due to her being in active addiction, and for that I truly feel for her and her siblings and grandmother. However, her grandmother and aunt sound amazing and like they’ve supported her every step of the way. Her aunt was so supportive - mentally, physically and I’m sure financially when she got pregnant with Layla - that was not her aunts, “responsibility” technically, and such a beautiful, stable environment she provided for Yasmyn and her child. You have to remember she had two children right around the age of 18… she wasn’t the average 18yo, she was responsible and it sounded like the friends she had in her first place on her own were helpful and helped her create a beautiful environment for her and her kids. Imagine being 18, having 2 kids and living in your own apartment with your bf, being financially capable and responsible yet then moving away to go live back with your aunt and/or cousins … most 18yos wouldn’t do that - in fact that doesn’t even really sound like the best idea to uproot because family was. Taking on her sisters when she already had 2 under 2, sounds like a lot, but she also said they only stayed for the summer, and she wanted that. I could see me having done the same thing if put in similar circumstances. This woman’s come a long way, and I get your thought process, Becuase being 40 myself, and thinning about someone I love at that age taking on so much responsibility makes me quite literally panic… BUT she’s thriving and did great things for herself. She’s broken and is continuing to break the generational curse and could have gone down and entirely different path. I don’t think all the adults in her life failed her, in fact I think it’s quite the opposite. In black and white it does sound crazy, but knowing all the details I think they did all they could and were blessed that she was so strong willed and determined to have a beautiful life for herself and her kiddos. So k guess all in all, I don’t think this message is entirely fair.

Damn cheated on for 2 years is crazy! He should've just broke up with you if he wanted to be with that person. I know he probably wanted to be around his daughters but I've found out you can't do it just for the kids, you have to do it for yourselves or it won't work. Stay strong, your beautiful with a great personality and I'm sure you will eventually find that guy. Great story!
@amyrivers4093

I agree. I don't understand why people cheat, especially if it is continuous. If you want to be with someone else or many other people, the respectful thing to do is break up with the person you are with before you act. If people don't do that, it suggests that they want to have their cake and eat it too, or they don't care about your relationship. No one wants to be with someone like that. It's so sad that others are so selfish these days. ❤😊

People probably think cheating is the easy way out, but I honestly think they’re just being cowards. If they don’t love their partner anymore, they should do the right thing and break up with them. Whoever cheats is just wasting someone else’s time. It’ll also cause trust issues, which no one deserves to deal with.

How do you define being taken care of? @@erinhutson4 we have half of the population with insecure attachment style and one's attachment is created in childhood between the child and the mother. What adults do you Think they'll be if mum is boy crzy? Especially knowing the stats of pdphilia in single mothers household. She has all the criteria to attract those people. She exposes the faces of her children, shares her vulnerability and situation and mentions her weakness for men. Any random person on KZfaq can try to get in touch and win her over for God knows what. She has huge responsibilities to remain this naive and needy.

My ex cheated on me for 2 years, while living with me and my mum. I went to work to support us all, while he was supposed to be studying at university. (Where he “studied” late=cheated.) When he was supposed to start working and it was my time to study, he moved directly in with the girl he had cheated on me with. I was 26, planning wedding and hopeful for kids. Had buried both my siblings to cancer before that. Life can be really dark. I’m happy you have your kids, they will bring you light. I hope I still will have the chance for a child.

Yasmin, you are amazing. Your story has some parallels to mine. I was a single parent at 24 (so had a little more life experience), but I experienced childhood trauma. I gave up finding someone as a life partner, but then just as I stopped looking, my now husband appeared. We’ve had 30 wonderful years together and he’s the love of my life. We have three more beautiful boys together, but life is never that straight forward is it? My advice to you as a nearly 60yr old woman is, if you want to avoid a midlife crisis, slow down a little and take time for yourself, doing nothing more than sitting with all of this experience and allowing yourself to feel. I would hate you to burn out like I did. I was lucky as my husband was there to catch me and weather the storm with me. As I said at the start you are amazing, strong and a wonderful mother, but please take time for you. Jen 🇬🇧

I get the unfortunate circumstance of becoming a single mom at 16. But three times? Your life will be hard, your children’s lives will be hard and the government will never support you comfortably. Tragic.

@@EricaFenstermacher-jl5wz It was a better choice than killing her daughter. As she has said, now she knows she couldn't imagine life without that beautiful little girl so she made the right call.🤦🏻‍♀🤦🏻‍♀Before you personally have children though, please learn how to correctly use the word "literally" and how to write like a literate adult does so you can adequately educate them.

Please please don’t forget to take birth control if you don’t want more kids now. Also use condoms as if people are having physical relationships outside your relationship you should protect your self from STDs.

I have a 4,3 & 1 year old and I had all my births unmedicated and I wouldn't of had it any other way. Women are so strong! My first birth was 7 hours so pretty fast for my first and my second was 5 hours and my third was about 6 hours so I had fast births but I also walked SO much during all of my pregnancies. I'm so proud of you. I've been watching you for years and you've been through so much and you are so wise and smart and such a great mom for being such a young mom. I hope you find the love of your life and loves your kids ❤

It’s like she knew what you needed but couldn’t provide it to you due to her addiction. It was nice to hear that she put lots of that money towards your education, Yasmyn. I’m so sorry to hear about your little brother. I’m sure it was so hard to have your own newborn and then see another newborn that’s your brother go into foster care. Please don’t have guilt for that. You are young, have three small kids and help out a lot with your sisters. Everything will work out and I’m sending you all the best and so much love. I’m so sorry things didn’t work out with Logan, and I’m so sorry that he betrayed you in the way he did. You didn’t deserve any of that. However, look at how you’re thriving. You’ve got this. Side note, I also grew up right out side of DC, in maryland. I was over in MoCo though (silver spring/rockville), not PG- still only about 25 min from greenbelt/CP.
