Basically Cindai and Balqis are the songs that she won in the AJL. Btw all songs are her own songs.

The first 2 songs Cindai & Balqis both won AJL. The last song Nirmala was the song that a lot people thought would’ve won AJL but didn’t. Nirmala though still won a category & Siti herself won Best Performance that respective AJL.

Omg for the very very very first time ever yazik reacted to Siti's traditional song😭😭😭😭.. Yessir it's all her songs many said it was custom made for her Cindai ( 1997), Balqis (2000) and Nirmala (2002) . Tbh malays traditional music have heavy influence of arabic instrument ( u can hear it in the music even the title is) i cant say that i fully understand what the song is about mostly traditional song is not about love it could be about history ( the lyricist use many malay classic word some are sanskrit-like i guess with heavy poetry so one person may interpret this and the other may interpret that ) i ensure not many of us like 100% understand the lyric.. Cindai is said to be one type of malay traditional fabric ( the lyricist does the personafication to the fabric and he did think of siti while writing this ) Balqis is about Queen Balqis of the Arab empire ( i forgot the name ) years agooo and Nirmala was about a woman slandered for cheating and how we supposed to love each other.. Siti never act she said her priority is singing and thats it she never acted but wait maybe she does a bit around 2003 and for commercial of course.. Balqis and Cindai won AJL tho and Nirmala was " robbed " it was hit song of the year but didnt win. In malay traditional singing, you might notice Siti use different placement at times ( nasal placement ) rather than her usual placement to give that arabic sound, there is a lot of trill and melisma that need to be learned ( u cant just put some notes together tho so it would be lie if all malay know how to sing it but they got potential they just have to learn ernie have sang a few traditional song before, Aina i wasnt sure )

She is classy and elegant. She put so much love to her fans and she sang special song for her fans recently during her birthday and meet up event organized by her fans. Balqis basically tells the story of a Queen of Sheeba who lived in the time of King Solomon.

You know what, as a kid, I'm starting to love more and more our traditional music. You know, i dont grow with that kind of music, it's starting to disappear from our music industry. But now i think i would really appreciate some effort to keep our traditional music alive in the industry.

Siti have few beautiful Malay traditional songs, composed by the late Pak Ngah, but since his demised, there are not so many Malay traditional songs by Siti. The first song Cindai is one of my favorites, few of the other fabulous traditional Malay songs are Nirmala, Balqis and Ya Maulai. Most of the lyrics for her songs circulate around the stories of love including these traditional Malay songs.

This is an amazing performance that shows how Siti is not only a brilliant singer/ vocalist, but she is also a great performer and entertainer on stage

her vocals are superb….she won best vocal in total 15 times (if i’m not mistaken) at AIM (Anugerah Industri Muzik) 7@8 times in a row which is unbeliveable…

Yazik , siti is not just singing but she sings with character n she is not only a ballad o pop singer but she is around up singer. So far ( pls corect me) no other singer has her own solo traditional concert ( as far as ballad singer is concerned) n she has staged tribute concert to great legends n she even has her road tour concert at her early n you g stage n other big concert. D only singer who never has a rest for 25 yrs of her career xcept during her pregnancy n confinement period. Never gets tired. Noone has broken her record so far. Her songs cover almist all genre n she has hit fast songs too. But her voice n vocal maintain steady n more powerfull. Aina has covered some of her songs including traditional songs.
