The song was very nostalgic for us Malaysians...it was first sung in the 90s during our sport events...and we won big at that time...the song really unites us as one country...it is an unspeakable joy...

Ella is a Queen of Rock in Malaysia. The song ' Standing in the Eyes if the World' was created for the Commonwealth Games in 1998 when Malaysia became the host for this game and Ella has been given the responsibility to sing this song amd she did it well. This song is very close to Malaysian because it reminds us during the Commonwealth Games.

yeayy now you've met our Queen of Rock, Ella! She's a legend and known for her raspy/husky kinda voice. She's 54 years old and has been a popular singer in Malaysia since the 80s. This is her own song. And this is actually a shorter version of this song. The original one is longer but it was shorten because many singers performed here at this closing ceremony. This song is legendary. All Malaysians know it. It's a motivational/patriotic song, produced in 1998 as one of the theme song when Malaysia hosted the Commonwealth Games. But this performance is pretty recent, in 2017.

She is living legend 👍 This song is a Sea Games' theme song if I am not mistaken...I hope somebody from Malaysia can correct me about this info👆 There is English version too,this song is about "Don't Give Up and Keep Fighting until you beat yourself"

This song is classic, I cant remember the exact year I heard this song but I this it was late 90's, I was in Malaysia with my parents because they were working there. This song gives me goosebumps everytime I heard it. Ella, Siti Nurhaliza are my top Favorite Singer in Malaysia. Anyway Im from Philippines.

Hi Yazik. Standing in the eyes of the world by Ella (Malaysian Rock Queen) the theme song of 1998 Commonwealth Games which is Malaysia as a host. . Since then, this song is played in many sports event in Malaysia. A very inspiring and meaningful song . For us , when we heard this song . It give us a positive and proud feeling to yourself in whatever you do. Like a encouragement and motivation song in other word.

One of the song that has a special place in Malaysian’s heart. Ella first sang this song in 1998, that time was Commanwealth Games hosted in Malaysia. I was just 8 years old at that time, but I still love the song and ofcourse Ella too. The song basically gives encouragement to succeed. It tells about ‘we need to put effort and sacrifice, in order to success’, ‘don’t give up’ and ‘do your best’.
