This is what happened 5 days ago here in Almaty, Kazakhstan. I haven't recovered. I have never in my life heard anything so beautiful, so powerful. People around me were crying. This is subtitled "Requiem” but it is also a vision and a call to action. Dimash is steeped in sacred music and has a deep understanding of the mystic teachings and symbolism of the major world religions as well as Kazakh shamanism. It is not by coincidence that the first performance of this work took place on September 14, 2022, at the Congress of Leaders of World and Traditional Religions in Kazakhstan. The written statement at the end of the video is directly from the “Document on Human Fraternity for World Peace and Living Together” signed jointly on February 4, 2019, by Pope Francis and the Grand Imam of Al-Azhar, Ahmad el-Tayeb. Dimash met and spoke with both men at the September meeting. Everything Dimash does is intentional, and this piece has layers that would take a dissertation to unravel. I only touch on some of what struck me in the symbolism. The music is a dissertation all by itself. The pendant is an interesting element. It is a gnomon from a maritime compass sundial. This triangular blade is attached to the sundial, casting a shadow on the sundial while the perforated pinhole projects the image of the sun onto the dial. It was used for both timekeeping and navigation, with the gnomon oriented to True North. In the MV, the child who later becomes the military commander never puts on the necklace. After Dimash, the boy, gives his friend the pendant, the camera focuses on his hand and shows that his friend has bent the gnomon in anger over being rejected by the girl. Later, we see a version of the gnomon, but distorted and without the hole that allows light to shine through, as the military insignia on the uniforms of the commander and his soldiers. Contemporary music is also present: With the phrase "We have passed the moment of Imagine," Dimash reminds us that we are past the sentiments evoked by the song "Imagine" by John Lennon. It is time to stop dreaming about a world of peace and harmony. If we choose life, if we wish for peace, if we want a world without war for our children and grandchildren, we must act and take up the long hard path up the mountain towards the light. It is the only way. The storyline is a very human one: we start as innocents until our hearts are broken, we fail, or our dreams are not realized. If in our pain and disappointment, we turn to anger and blame instead of acceptance, power instead of love, greed and envy instead of generosity, hatred instead of forgiveness, and revenge instead of justice, we sow the seeds for conflicts that can turn into war. The burning sign "Waldenberg" is a reference to the end of WWII when the US Army destroyed the last of the resistance by the German Wehrmacht to end the war in April 1945. As a native German, I have seen the aftermath of war as I was born a few years later when much of Germany was still in rubble. Waldenburg is only 28 miles from my hometown and was completely destroyed as you can see from the picture. Many of the dead in those bombed out buildings were women and children. Who looks outside, dreams; who looks inside, awakes.” This is what Dimash has done with this work; he has made the darkness conscious. We can only raise our individual and collective consciousness by bringing to light what needs to be healed in our lives and our world, and then we need to work together to restore wholeness to what is broken and bring about peace and unity, one step at a time. The woman giving birth is Dimash’s wife (the girl in his childhood), the girl who was killed was his daughter. The Dictator is the boy Dimash saved when they were children. i believe Dimash at the end is Dimash’s son that was born.

The way I understand this video is that the little girl became Dimash's wife. His friend became the enemy. Dimash's daughter got separated from her mom and got killed. Dimash kills his friend and then gets killed. At the end all the killed people walk to the light, leaded by Dimash, all together, it doesn't matter their religion, their nationality, their believes.. we are all under the same sky.

I think we are all wrong. Dimash is not the best singer in the world. He is more than that. He is an instrument to send a message and he uses his voice to deliver it. That´s why it doesn´t matter in what language he is singing: the message is delivered. And it doesn´t matter if he isn´t even using words, just sounds: the message is still delivered. The message is there. And the message is: "we have passed the moment of ´Imagine´" as the lyrics says. It is up to us to understand it and make it work.

The bad leader is the third child from the past that saved Dimash from drowning when they were kids. I saw a clip at the end of this song during concert I got so excited because I never heard him sound a heavy metal style of singing , I didn’t know that it’s the part of this The story of one sky song. So I wanted to watch it right away when it came out , well it took me a day and a half to finish it I keep pausing, it’s giving me so much different emotions. I’m crying every time. Did you notice that people walking through desert and storm was of different religions and different ethnicity? I believe that even out of bad environment/ circumstances can be born new and pure Life and maybe Wisdom? In the plot the guy who leads and unites all ethnicities and religions, is that baby (son of Dimashe’s character).

Не перестаю восхищаться мудростью и сердечностью Димаша, который сотворил этот шедевр, по сути своей молитву за всё человечество. Призыв к всеобщему миру на планете, к прекращению конфликтов и недопонимания между людьми разных национальностей. И всё это через мощнейший вокал Димаша, плач и мольбу, чтобы люди услышали и смогли понять и принять его посыл! Это почти физическая боль, которую начинаешь испытывать при просмотре этого видео, а эмоции просто зашкаливают. Ты полностью погружаешься в происходящее, не в силах оторвать свой взгляд от экрана, понимая, насколько глубокий смысл скрыт в этом видео послании. К сожалению, не все смогут оценить этот призыв от Димаша, часть людей живёт во мраке собственной души и не способны прозреть в ближайшее время, а многие вообще утратили такие качества, как чуткость и сострадание. This is his masterpiece. I don't know how he will top this but then we said that about Stranger. The three children, friends at first, are separated by the girl choosing Dimash. If you watch the scene on the beach, the older boy looks angry and the girl runs away from him towards young Dimash who then gives the amulet to his friends as a sign of eternal friendship. The boy bends his in anger so you can see the signs of what he will become. Dimash is fighting in the opposing army and realising the futility of war goes back home to rescue his pregnant wife (the girl from the beach) and child only to find his wife gone (presumably dead) and his child murdered by the opposing army. He tracks down and shoots his former friend to avenge his daughter and is killed in return. Dimash's wife is rescued by pilgrims who recognise the child she is carrying is vital for the future of humanity. He is born and is shown wearing his mother's amulet. The following scene is the child grown up. Dimash's son, who goes on to lead the various religions of the earth into unity and peace.

Heartbreakingly magnificent! Powerful portrayal! Brutally honest in showcasing how war rages against a life of peace in all regions of the world. This video brings one to the brink of despair yet shows that life endures and hope lives on from generation to generation! Profound performance by Dimash and all those who participated in the artistry of this production! The first lyrics are so telling "Can't believe what is happening at all PIPER'S crazy, we are bound to fall" seems to me to relate to a Pied Piper leading others astray! Showing his immense grief going to his home and finding his household, his daughter all dead. As he dies his son is born. You see the baby wearing the mother's sign of love and life and then he is shown grown into the very image of his father wearing the same necklace walking toward a dawning new light! My soul cried! Dimash is amazingly gifted and has an understanding of love and life beyond his years!

Watching this film by Dimash was like experiencing a film with Michael Jackson, I'm not making a comparison but the feeling I experienced was genuinely the same. He is singing about a generally shared concern, and his message for me is: 'No one survives to end in a hell like war'. I love it!

At the end scene, he is Dimash’s son who was born post war earlier wearing his mother’s necklace. He wasn’t portraying anyone, but leading people from all sorts of different backgrounds, religions and ethnicities to the light. A pilgrimage to the stranger’s land. See what he was doing there. Edit: now we can add heavy metal and subharmomic singing (the om) in his catalogue.

That sound is a call for all to unite in whatever faith they are to follow the light for good and peace in the world..let's follow him.
