This is a detailed installation guide of auto dimming IRVM (Electrochromatic/Electrochromic IRVM). After watching this video you can install auto dimming IRVM in any car. In this video I'm installing Honda orginal auto dimming irvm (Part no. 76400T4RJ11) in Tata Tiago. Complete details of IRVM mounting, wiring and IRVM are shared in this video.

Hey, thanks for the great informative video. I am planning to have it in my Altroz, but I am wondering whether this frameless mirror works solely based on the sensor on its back or does it also have the front sensor like other framed auto dimming mirror? Much appreciate for your response!

You're welcome. It also have a front sensor but behind the mirror glass that's why sensor is not visible.

I think those two extra wires are to integrate with REVERSE camera so that when we do reverse at night i will act like normal mirror and allow light to pass while making it easy to look back

Those extra wires are for rear camera input. Some car models have rear camera but doesnt have touchscreen infotainment system. The camera feed goes to IRVM . I have ciaz which has auto dimming IRVM and has rear camera but no touchscreen . I have to look into IRVM for the camera while reversing and I have the exact same colour extra wires in my IRVM

No. Those slots doesn't have power they are actually blank.

With camera means you can also connect this irvm with back camera, and when you will put back gear, camera will activate and it will show on irvm screen. I have this feature in my elite i20 sports model 2016, and its very useful if you don't have touch screen for back camera

Ye always dim rhta h kya..?? Baleno ke zeta alpha variant me jo Irvm aata h usme dono side sensor hota h and peechhe se light aane pr hi dim hota h But ye to aage se dark hote hi ho jaa rha h Ese to fir most of the time samne se bhi high beam pr aate h log to isko to daytime hi lagega fir

Ye always dim rhta h kya..?? - NO Auto dimming irvm me 2 sensor hote hai, isme bhi 2 hai, second mirror ke piche h. Ek samne ki taraf hota hai - Ambient light sensor Dusra Piche (Piche se high beam aane pe activate hota h) - Glare Sensor

If you have some experience with wiring, it isn't a deal breaker. Its a same the XUV300 gets them but the 700 misses out.
