After a 4-1 start to the season we now shift focus to recruiting and the prospects we hope become part of our program. This year I wanted to be more aggressive for higher rated prospects, but that was a challenge we weren't ready for. This might be a worse recruiting year than most, but we can still find important players.

Thinking about Brandon Warren at WR??? What??? The man has 90 speed and 91 throw power and 79 accuracy which is decent. He's a true freshman starter at QB and an eventual star! The stars are the limit with his initial attributes!

Cane i love these videos and i love your insights most of the time, but you have to be blind not to see that Brandon Warren is a QB. Dude has Russel Wilson level athleticism and the arm to match. I understand he might not be that accurate right now, but with the progression system Warren will have Battle level accuracy by year 2. Warren is like getting senior year Marquis Walker with JR Battle's arm strength, and you can't ask for much more than that out of a freshman. I see the upside as a Wide Receiver as well, but when you get a QB prospect with his upside how do you play him anywhere else.

Cane, in my team builder dynasty, I recruited a player the same exact mold as Warren, and moved him to qb and he made my offense so much better so please listen, if you want an elite offense start Warren at qb

You can't possibly not use Warren as a QB. Not only does he have wheels and good throwing ability, but it also looks like he won't be fumbling very often with that carrying, which is something that's very nice to not have to worry about from your main ball handler.

Yeah I'm with everyone else you HAVE to play Warren at QB if you are able to get him. I know you have Colbert but just imagine the offense you had with Marquice Walker, but a QB that is faster AND has a stronger arm than JR Battle. Carl Joyce would also be nice too, as he can fill the Jacoury Daye role as a deep threat for whoever the QB is next year. Right now I'd say those two and Akinjide are my favorite players on the board, but idk how hard it will be to get some of them

Brandon Warren in your Kalispell recruiting needs to be a priority and play quarterback. He'll be a dynamic quarterback and his accuracy will come along with time (a couple offseason training sessions) and with Carl Joyce potential coming on board, WR is a set position with Payne redshirting and Hayden Jean-Charles being a focal point of the offense there isn't a ton of need for him at WR...quarterback is his position and he could be a GAMECHANGER!!!

Cane you need to go after recruits who aren't getting recruited! It's super easy Ik you try to make it the most realistic but there is a bunch of 4 and 5 stars that go unrecruited for the first 6 weeks but after then it gets more difficult to get those recruits.

Robert Cialone Yes. Just go to the search and change it to “less than 25% locked” you can even search just in your pipeline states to insure that you have a better shot at them. It also makes sense from a realism standpoint to bring in overlooked prospects in your school’s pipelines.

Focus more on local states like Oregon, Wyoming, and Nevada. Trying to stretch to Florida and Ohio is only going to cost you in the long run

With Warren touncouk tun a spread offens like Auburn, I think he'd be your first QB to rush and throw for 1000 yards plus it'd allow a guy like Amante Jones to see his potential like Manziel and Mike Evans

If you want good recruits, wait until about week three or four then search for the recruits that are under 25% locked then sort by top recruits. Plenty of highly rated recruits don't get recruited by other teams for some reason.

B.Warren would be a Program changing QB with arm strength at 91 would give the Off something even Battle can't a "real" deep ball and with that speed the RPO is in ur hands and u would take as many sacks

I find that Recruits that are either short or tall and or strong. out play there rating as long as there about high 60's I got a 6,5 qb who is amazing cause he only misses a throw If you can actually tackle him

Cane-Don't sleep on this class. You and Blackjack sound a little underwhelmed, but either Joyce or Warren would be good enough to be the best player you got a commitment from (in overall rating). If you could get both (and you'll likely get one and the other is a tossup), you'd have a pretty fun offense in 3-4 years once these players develop. To play devil's advocate with Warren though, imagine the defensive nightmares opponents would face if opposing teams had to cover both Warren AND Joyce! I agree with the other comments about putting Warren at QB (if nothing else because you want your high end talent spread around, not concentrated in one position when there's only one football), but I could see why someone might be tempted to put him at WR.

I know you might not even read this comment but you can’t really use the pipeline fully right now since you aren’t a powerhouse school yet or in a power 5 conference...look in your region (Oregon Nevada Colorado Utah N/S Dakota Washington Hawaii ) besides the pipeline and let Ohio go...look at the lowest locked players and match up their needs with your school and go from there...just because we say go for the 5 star players doesn’t mean you have to throw your recruiting strategy to the wind just play it smart...I’ve always looked for three different star tiered players at a certain position that gives me the best gauge at what they want or who is interested...nothing is wrong with getting three star players just need to get the right ones...and if you don’t put Warren at QB I’m convinced you are trying to throw the game lol #NoExcuseJustProduce

Recruiting is not this difficult. I’m guessing that maybe Cane is going slow on it so the series advances more realistically. But I was able to take a cupcake roster to 95 overall by the point Cane is at now. Maybe he’s just not too great at it? That’s okay too I suppose

+David Leckness I put 700 points into many high profile players who didn't care. Sometimes they just don't want to play for you. We're also in Montana, don't fit a lot of players proximity to home want, pro potential, or other top 3 priorities.

MrHurriicane Totally understand the part of just losing out on them. But as soon as you start to lose ground, just immediately drop them and go after new guys. That’s what I’ve found works really well. Search for less than 25% locked players in your pipelines and be quick and decisive with it.

I think for you to be more successful at recruiting you need to go more local. Instead of reaching out to Florida and Ohio try to go more to the mountain west with states like Oregon, Arizona, Colorado etc
