That's very kind, and thanks for sticking with me and supporting. If others are using the techniques, then all good. I only ever started this to channel a bit of energy following a tough time, stumbled on a gel plate then it all took a turn! Strikes me the gel plate is a bit of an untapped resource with no real 'tradition' in it's use, so it's a great tool to investigate. if my investigations spur others to do their spin on it then great, what KZfaq was always intended for I think : )

Love what you did. I work in encaustic and love the smell of beeswax and love adding collage as well. You can buy beeswax easily and melt it in an old can and just paint it on with a cheap bristle brush. The translucency of the wax adds so much. Experimentation makes us grow.

Wow!!! Mind blown! I have always loved your experiments, but this one is by far my favorite because sealing my pieces and struggling with wrinkles and buckling with certain adhesives has driven me nuts. Now, I am going to try this technique for sure. Thank you so much for this awesome tutorial, any idea how you would frame/finish/hang something like this? I'd love to figure out a way to show the translucency. Maybe in a floating frame?
