Well Amber here is another great song and lesson! Thank you. After about six weeks of practicing on my own I can rather quickly play at the first level, some buzzing at the 2nd level and i just stop and watch you play when you get to the full strumming patterns. When I am happy with my chord changes and better at keeping with strumming I will join your academy. I want to learn to play and sing along. Cheers

Hi Andre 😊 that’s great! Congrats on being so dedicated to improving! That is the first step 👏🏻 I think you will absolutely love the Academy, the course starts right at the beginning and builds upon chords and rhythm simultaneously. This is why it is a great program to introduce at the start of your guitar journey. I think you will make faster progress with playing songs the sooner you start, that way you will also avoid having to unlearn any technique mistakes. I’m excited for your progress! 🚀 🎵

Thank you again for this lesson. Can you tell me the difference between the strong beat and the and beat or strum? Do you strike the same number of strings with just a little less pressure on the and beat/ strum? Thank you.

Yes you have the right idea. The strong beat, you strum all or most of the strings (depending on the chord) and the up beat you only hit a few of the strings and strum softer. 🙌

Broke out the Mini I see! It sounds great. It looks like it fits you better than the GA. The sound is crisper I think than the rosewood. I find the same thing with my Martin.

Hi Amber, would you mind to do When you say nothing at all by Ronan Keating and make sure you have everything the same way as Ronan Keating like same chords, same strumming patterns and same fingerpicking patterns too. Also please find out how many times do we strum/fingerpicked each chords for all sections of the song.

Hi Mat 😊 no they don’t, you can still play the same chords without the capo. But, you won’t be able to play along with the original song because the song will be in a different key.
