Same here, my room mate got it for the kitchen and they sound nice but all notifications are insanely loud you can hear them on the moon. A chill low volume jazz would play next thing at random a Chinese mad woman is yelling ''YOUR BATTERY IS TOO LOW ON POWER PLEASE RECHARGE YOUR BATTERY!!!'' in a distorted voice. The message triggers every 5th second by the time you get to the damn thing to shut it off I go deaf and develop a headache also SWAT arrives fining me for having a concert like loud event in the suburbs (for those who don't know its illegal to make noise in a urban area especially around homes) me be like sorry it was a bluetooth speaker message nothing illegal going on .......

That’s gonna be a bit hard you’re gonna have to take apart the whole device exposing the circuitboard find the ROM chip and then flash the wrong chip flash bought the whole cartridge removing all the sounds and then you can replace them there is someone who did that on KZfaq as well

I was looking into some Bluetooth stuff lately and I'm actually disappointed in the tech as a whole. While connected to a BT device you can't see it's battery life on your phone or OS. If your BT device is paired up with multiple things it gets really annoying switching between them. There's no way to manually toggle a device on or off on a phone for example. I was hoping changing the voice was closer to updating the firmware by using data transfer through the Bluetooth signal it's self. I guess that's a no.

All use some version of the JieLi JL ac69xx chips and they have a sdk that has all the default sounds, you would have to recompile the source code to put on the chip and no one is gonna bother with recompiling

@@sadiareza9893 The chip is a operational brain device that cannot be re-coded also if you remove it too or try to alter it, the device doesn't work anymore. It is programmed to look for the prompt messages before it goes to the next code and without finding those 1st ones its in endless search loop and the device cannot function further from that point on. Hope this makes sense. As for speakers, you cut the line basically the cables from the board to the speakers, you put a switch in between and keep them off. One problem remains, the battery alarm is still triggered upon operation and in most devices too loud. Also it is not advisable to keep it always plugged in to the charge socket since it can fry, besides defeats the purpose of being portable... So no matter how you look at it we need a new chip that doesn't have these obnoxious sound prompts at the least.

Some BT speakers and headphones do that already, just have an LED indication of status. Others make distinctive chime sounds, to indicate status.

@@michaelturner4457 It doesn't seem to be a feature that they advertise very well. On my former car BT: I would be listening to AC/DC and forget to turn down the volume after I was done. The next day I would start up the car and the BT would chime VERY loud and scare the crap out of me. Just wish I could turn off the chime!

You need to desolder the microcontroller on the board of the speaker and put it into a spi reader then change the name of the speaker by reprogramming it

99 percent of mfrs use a version of the famous JieLi JL ac69xxx chips and they are a full microcontroller with 32bit cpu and run uboot, one of the worlds most famous bootloaders and ontop of the bootloader is the source code. Some bluetooth boards have the usb pins of the chip connected and you can put them into DFU mode via the usb pins by sending a specific signal to the data + and data - pins. Look up "christian kramer JL ac69xx" to find more details, although nobody has reverse engineered the sdk and recompiling all the sounds would be hell
