Definition of HWAA: English Meaning: 1. flower 2. anger 3. rage They portrayed anger and rage through the fire and that’s why it can also mean fire in Korean But this is old Korean. Soyeon mentioned that she used A LOT of old Korean words that aren’t necessarily used anymore. Also just so that you know that’s why Shushua got less lines, because she isn’t confident in her Korean and therefore old Korean would be hard for her to pronounce. Btw Shusha is Taiwanese just in case you didn’t know. I mean 3/6 of gidle are foreign (Minnie, Shushua, Yuqi) Minnie- Thai Shushua- Taiwanese Yuqi- Chinese (The other are Korean Soojin, Miyeon, Soyeon) Hope this helped. Great video 😊

Soyeon wrote the song like this to show the burning away of the heartbreak, the melting of a cold heart after a breakup, and then blooming like a flower. But it sounds the same in the song because this song is written in old Hangul and they are pronounced the same way. If you were to say it in mandarin Chinese they would sound different.
