I hate when people complain about relatively minor things and then say "my suffering is important, it's not a competition". They just need to think about the positives and how lucky we are to be born in our situations, and to make the best of it. Everyone who has a right to complain, knows that it could be worse.

"Fish in the water don't notice the water they swin in" is such a profound and sad way to describe the things shes seen in her life and how it was all (and still is there) just so normalized I deeply feel her story, I was adopted during the one child policy regimen in china, i was told my mother gave me away because it either that or leave me to die and she refused, this is all i know of her im grateful for her brave sacrifice for my life, thankfully i was much to young to understand what was really happening at the time and very little about my birth family myself, I wish to find them one day and they would want to see me, I hope this woman has a strong support system in her life and a professional to speak to her and hear her, I wish her the most peaceful life for the rest of her days ❤

@@krazat An you were there!?! Her family is probably bitter she became so successful. That didn't occur to you and your leftist propaganda/agenda though, did it!?! Because hateful leftists don't think. They are brain washed hate filled machines hell bent on one mission, destruction of America. Her life is a testament to what a savior & beautiful country this is and saved so many that are thriving Americans today including yourself, unless your Chinese or some foreign bot trolling comments which it seems. I wonder how much you are paid to leave nasty remarks every other comment but it's clearly ineffective. Interesting how the left didn't hate this woman or spread false allegations /slander her, until she spoke in favor of decent values & praising America, our core founding principles & freedoms, etc. Now it's a full fledged criminal harassment campaign to curtail her rights and shut her up, discredit her, it's rather pathetic!! You were not there. None of us were. She speaks of details and genuine quality. There are those that have reason to be bitter and claim ridiculing things against her. Hollywood is the epicenter of embellishment!! Who are you to judge this lady when you have no clue and didn't witness her life unfolding. People can go from being middle class (they weren't "rich" even for NK standards), to dirt poor and starving, that's very easily done in a nation that doesn't recognize human rights. She embodies & symbolizes the essence of what a genius concept America was and it's immense, unique beauty & the gifts it gives to the world and how it's changed world history forever. Many people on this planet sought refuge here and wouldn't have lived had it not been for America to migrate to. Your hate is misdirected. It shows how low the leftists will stoop attacking this girl and only empowers her more and causes many more to pay attention to her message regarding Freedom & Blessings.

*As a child, did she really see a woman publicly executed for watching a Hollywood movie?* She made the claim that she watched a person executed in public for watching a foreign film. Sometimes she says it is James Bond other times a South Korean film. Other North Korean defectors have also said that public executions were stopped several years prior to that date.In a response to Mary Ann Jolley's artcle which exposed her lies & fabrications, Yeonmi denied that she ever claimed such a story : UPDATE: *A Response from Yeonmi Park to Mary Ann Jolley's article in Diplomat* "I want to thank Mary Ann Jolley for caring so much about the terrible situation in North Korea that she would point out any inconsistencies in my quotes and how my story has been reported. Much of the time, there was miscommunication because of a language barrier. I have only learned English in the last year or so, and I’m trying hard to improve every day to be a better advocate for my people. I apologize for any misunderstandings. For example, *I never said that I saw executions in Hyesan. My friends’ mother was executed in a small city in central North Korea where my mother still has relatives (which is why I don’t want to name it).* *But is it true? Did she never say that? Was it a misunderstanding, the so-called language barrier? Or she is just a fabricator and liar! Let us see :* *When she was nine years old, Park was forced to attend the execution of her classmate’s mother*. Her crime? She had lent a *SOUTH KOREAN* movie to a friend. The townsfolk were gathered in a large STADIUM to watch the punishment. *“She got killed in front of us,”* said Park, now 20 years-old. *“I was standing next to her daughter - my whole school had to go.”* www.theguardian.com/world/2014/aug/26/north-korea-defector-titanic *When she was nine, she was forced to watch her best friend's mother being executed on the STREET before her eyes.* "She was a very nice, gentle mother," she said. "But I knew that lady. She was not that bad. She was not going to destroy our country," she said. *She has witnessed it many times as a child, when her mother used to give her a piggyback ride to the big stadium to watch the public executions, considered a 'celebration' which everybody is under orders to attend.* Along the route, victims are beaten with sticks and a rock placed in their mouths so that all their teeth are broken. Once they get there, they are shot three times - in the knee, the chest and the head. Nobody, not even the closest of family members, is permitted to show any sign of grief. (In an interview with the Irish Independent,Nicola Anderson October 17 2014) www.independent.ie/irish-news/one-young-world/why-is-the-world-allowing-a-holocaust-to-happen-again-brave-north-korean-shares-harrowing-story-of-escape-30673558.html *She watched as her friend’s mother was executed.* ....The woman stood accused of watching a contraband *James Bond DVD* and leant it to friends-a crime Yeonmi herself had committed, and one that could only be redeemed in death. It’s more than a decade later and she calmly recalls the shots ringing out, followed by an explosion of blood. Oct. 31, 2014 www.thedailybeast.com/how-titanic-helped-this-brave-young-woman-escape-north-koreas-totalitarian-state *And yet she repeats this lie many times in following years aftar 2014,* an example : The 27-year-old said she was regularly forced to watch people being executed including her best friend's mum who was killed for watching a western movie. Apr 14 2021 www.the-sun.com/news/2698545/kim-jong-un-hitler-nukes-china-enabler/ "Park does not spare any detail of the atrocities and injustices she endured on her journey to freedom. *After watching her friend’s mother publicly executed* and then herself surviving surgery without anaesthetic or painkillers, Park knew she must try and escape." (Yeonmi Park recounts her harrowing journey to freedom at an event hosted by Walk Free and Perth USAsia Centre. 18 FEB 2019 ) www.walkfree.org/news/2019/yeon-mi-reminds-australia-that-our-freedom-isnt-universal/ NOTE : As a bad liar she changes the place of executaion : street va stadium. And the film : South Korean film vs. James Bond film!! Furthermore , she made up another lie in this regard : “There were different levels of punishment,” says Park. “If you were caught with a Bollywood or Russian movie you were sent to prison for three years but if it was South Korean or American you were executed.” www.theguardian.com/world/2014/aug/26/north-korea-defector-titanic

Without a doubt North Korea is an oppressive hell hole, but Yeonmi Park is not considered a reliable source on the matter. She repeatedly contradicts herself and other defectors have plainly stated that her stories are often exaggerations or just downright fabrications. Yeonmi Park herself has had to retract a lot of her own claims, stating that it was due to poor memory because she was very young (she defected when she was 13 years old) or because of language barriers. Initially upon converting to Christianity, she claimed that her escape from North Korea involved climbing tall mountains in freezing -40 degree Celcius without any winter clothing and that she managed to do so because of the warmth and love of Jesus Christ. Of course it turns out there aren't any mountains between where she lived and China, it's mostly flat. She then said what she meant was that they had to climb over hills and didn't know the word for hills in English... but this contradicts the fact that she made those same claims in Korean, her native language. Her own mother, who defected with her, has come out and said that many things that Yeonmi claims are just untrue, such as that she witnessed a public execution of her best friend's mother for watching James Bond (which never happened and Yeonmi has had to retract that statement), that she was forced to eat grass due to starvation (her mom says that was never the case and that their family was actually well off, at least by North Korean standards) and overall just other bogus claims that are not only unsubstantiated by other defectors, but often times contradict her own claims and can verifiably be debunked. So why would she fabricate this? Because she is being incentivized to do so by right-wing think tanks (such as the Atlas Foundation) who are using her as a pretty and innocent face to spread propaganda that left leaning politics will result in a North Korean style authoritarianism. Why should we care if some of what she's saying is exaggerated? Surely North Korea is a horrible place, so what if she's taking certain liberties? Because she's not the only defector, but she's one of the few defectors anyone will listen to because she's willing to bend the truth, create a sensational story that causes the audience to suspend critical thinking, and then when the audience is in a heavy emotional state, push the political agenda that she is being funded to promote. The sad truth is that unless people are willing to create heavily sensationalized narratives of their experience, then no one really bothers to listen to them, so the only people who get attention are the ones willing to play loose with the truth.

*DANCING INTO THE TUNE OF THIS WOMAN : Trash propaganda produced for imperialism and profit.* Yeonmi Park is an actress hired by the US deep state and she has just proven her usefulness , they would likely prefer a more coherent testimonial, but as long as the sheeple eat it up .... . This young lady is being used by political organizations to fearmonger, with an agenda at play here . If you believe all her stories, you are either naive or simple too stupid. There is no way of getting almost any reliable information about North Korea, due to their heavy isolation. Or if there is sources, they are from South Korean and USA media, which either guess or invent things. She's an actor and this channel is meant for spreading American anti-communist propaganda, she is just a Yankee paid liar, the worst is that she does the actor thing very well. Because someone pays money to them and educate them how to speak in public. A VERY well paid North Korean defector. The CIA has directly funded stuff like this before, why do you uncritically trust in it? Again what if the real reason these people can't keep their stories straight is because they are liars and frauds motivated by the desire to obtain money and publicity? Or alternatively, what if they work for some organization or agency hostile to the DPRK, like the CIA, or the Adam Smith Institute? She's supported by the SK intelligence agency to tell a horrific story. It gets policy makers and the international community to sanction NK. Her story has been debunked. She does it for the fame and attention. This is really no different than the story of WMDs, babies thrown from incubators in Kuwait. She gotten a lot of mileage out of this shame. There's a reason viewers are attracted to crazy bizarre exposures about North Korea, regardless of if they're actually true or not. That woman appeared on Valuetainment, Lex Friedman, & Joe Rogan at around the same time (classic fake propaganda spouted by that annoying puppet lyce ducet. This would have been *carefully orchestrated from the beginning making sure the defector had been paid handsomely to tell her lies about the DPRK.* ). Nothing wrong with interviewing people, her claims were accepted without any skepticism on all those shows. If you watch subsequent Joe Rogan episodes, he uses this sleezy interview as "evidence" to push his "China is evil" argument (ie. war with China). Lex Friedman could care less about American-induced famine in Yemen & economic sanctions on poor countries, but started crying & using her claims of famine as proof Kim Jung Un was "evil" (ie. no peace deals with Asians). It's sad because this submissive shilling undermines their claims of being "independent". Controversy sells, but he is missing the point of what the true face of imperialism really is. It is typical behavior from people of settler colonist nations. Little culture means little acceptance of what's going on in the world. The more sensationalist lies that she tells will bring her more profit, though she’s taking a risk by becoming less believable and triggering more people to see through her bullshit with each story she tells. She’s truly a despicable soulless demon whose only real interests in life are money and plastic surgery.

I can only hope this podcast goes viral and we all wake up and demand something be done before this people are wiped off the planet. Great job Joe, this is will undoubtedly be the most significant interview if your career. Truly the Powerful JRE.

We haven’t turned a blind eye that’s thing. we really haven’t known the severity of the situation for all that long when you think about it, because everything that’s comes out of North Korea is controlled by one man and no one else. Makes it a lot harder as well when he’s threatening the countries with nuclear war that threaten him, or his regime, and when trump threatened to “totally wipe them of the map” everybody made it out to be trump trying to start a war and blaming it on his ego, but when In reality he isn’t the one with millions of starving people under his power! It’s not as easy as going over there and giving them food and everything will be fine it’s a lot more complicated than that 🤷‍♂️

The left wants a free but fair market, where the wealthy pay their fair share and the middle class are being taken care of. We're not out to punish anybody for being successful. Demanding a better healthcare system and protection from being ripped off at work is not communism. A robust social support system is what Sweden, Norway, France and Germany... already have. Nobody knew the reasons why people were taken away. But it could affect everyone. Therefore, in every house, for such an occasion, a bag with essentials was hung by the door. Once they came for me. As a teacher, I was taken to the camp to teach Chinese and teach propaganda songs to prisoners. The cell had a concrete floor, walls and five video cameras on the ceiling. 20 people huddled on 16 square meters. The prisoners were wearing uniforms and handcuffs. They were all shaved baldly. In the camp, I also worked in a hospital, where I witnessed how prisoners were given medicines unnecessarily, maybe experiments were being carried out to, for example, make women infertile. At one of the meetings, she witnessed how the guards raped a young woman in front of 200 prisoners. Anyone who showed sympathy for her himself became the object of humiliation and torture in a "black" room with an electric chair, where I was also tortured until I lost consciousness. Since I visited the camp, sometimes I cannot even climb onto the bed myself. In the cell, I slept too long on the cold concrete floor, and now I have rheumatism. At 43, I became a sick person, although I was completely healthy before the camp, ”says the book“ Die Kronzeugin ”(The Main Witness) by German writer Alexandra Kavelius and Sairagul Sauytbai about the“ camps ”in Xinjiang. Quanguo has turned the entire region into a police state with checkpoints between cities and within cities - between districts, with a network of cameras with facial recognition, with mandatory ID scanning to enter houses and shopping centers. Everywhere - policemen in uniform and civilian clothes. Forced organ harvesting in China is carried out in relation to representatives of ethnic, linguistic or religious minorities detained in different regions, and they are often not told the reasons for detention or there is no arrest warrant, "- says the conclusion of 12 experts, the most popular organs for seizure are the heart , kidneys, liver and cornea of the eye, and this measure is applied to members of the banned Falun Gong movement, Uyghurs, Tibetans, Muslims and Christians.

Complaining isn’t completely bad it’s just normal and it’s perfectly fine to complain about some parts of your life because we all have problems but there are definitely people out there with larger problems, I wouldn’t say your lucky for how your life is now where you live nor would I say you don’t have a right to complain about some parts of your life sometimes, your born in a normal life which is how society should be, just some people are born unlucky and born in literally hell, we need everyone to live a normal life because everyone deserves a normal life, it shouldn’t be lucky to just get a normal life and so I won’t call it lucky because we all deserve a normal life

I stumbled upon Yeonmi Park giving a lecture on cable BookTV the other day on how horrific North Korea is and could not hardly stomach what I was hearing. I can only imagine how her life has changed since coming to America. She mentioned that she now has a 2 year old little boy, and by the looks of her huge, beautiful, sparkly diamond ring, and her 'breast augmentation', I'm guessing she's living a pretty comfortable life now. I'm happy for her!

I can’t believe people do that to people nowadays, it is just beyond sickening. Now look at her, she is a very good-looking, attractive woman, you would never think that she had gone through that and what she must see when she closes her eyes at night would frighten anybody. That’s absolutely crazy.

This story shook me. As a child growing up I listened to my grandpa talk about the horrors of the Korean War. The last days of his life he wanted closure from that war and it always made me feel helpless to his war effort. Imagine nothing changes even after the most bloody war in history, that most never known! There has to be an end.
