In March 2001, Yeovil Town made history by hosting the first ever non-league match to be shown live on Sky. Unfortunately, it might not have been the greatest advert as the Huish Park pitch was suffering from severe drainage issues and was covered in sand. The pitch would continue to deteriorate through the following season before finally being relaid in the summer of 2002.
