Played there for Bath City in the old Southern League days in the early 60’s. We had a player sent off and we lost 4-3. I was lucky enough to score our 3 goals. Interesting ground with the slope.

If you're a Forest fan you've done alright since! I think Forest had been tracking Cohen for a while and if I recall had put in a bid for him in January. It wouldn't have been down to his playoff performances as he was playing through injury in those games and had to come off in the semi final and final.

Combination of things probably - having been recently relegated Donny never did take the Trophy very seriously as they had no connection with the competition (weirdly they got over 7000 for the Conference League Cup a couple of years before). In addition, the original tie had been postponed a couple of times and this replay took place on the same day that the next round was scheduled to take place - giving Yeovil fans only a few days to make arrangements for the trip. I think about 150 or so Yeovil fans went, possibly even less than the league game back in August (hard to say as the away end is not really in shot).

Better than what we'd had before, which was nothing! If we'd got promoted in 2000/01 there would have been almost no footage of it, except the games that were filmed by the opposing club.

I was there !! Great memories. GG was under a lot of pressure & Arsenal won both cups against Sheffield Wednesday at Wembley. Leeds, Nottingham Forest, Ipswich & then spurz in the semi final for sweet revenge for two years earlier.Andy Linighan won Arsenal the FA Cup with a headed goal in injury time 😅 Iy would’ve been the first English cup final decided by a shoot out. Happy happy days ✌️😊😊😊😊😊😊

I remember this well. This tie was considered to be a veritable banana skin on the infamous Yeovil slope. The game being postponed, due to the weather, took the pressure off us and we ran out comfortable winners in the rearranged midweek tie. We went on to complete our very first League and FA Cup Double. Who knows what might have happened had the original fixture gone ahead.
