If Bernie Sanders were president, the US would likely be party to the ICC, and stand on the side of justice. Instead, we have a president and majority of Congress that cherrypick when they want to heed international law and observe the validity of war crimes. We, the American people, need you - and yet we cannot have you. But hearing even one person in Congress that has a human soul still gives me hope. That maybe our country can turn itself around, one day.

As an American citizen, it is pathetic to see our hardworking tax dollars are going to Israel, Pakistan, Ukraine or who knows what more countries!!! Recently, I have learned that citizens of Israel has free healthcare system by their government. But why Americans have to buy their own healthcare insurance? Why we Americans don’t have free healthcare like Israel? Answer is, Israel is not donating billions of dollars to us Americans. Rather they are enjoying our money while we are straggling.

This is a dangerously oversimplified view and a bit shortsighted. We should not be supporting a genocide but there are very complex geopolitical reasons to maintain a relationship in that region. As for healthcare, I truly believe that we need a system for our people, but nothing can be done to change the system that we have without having the people on our side. Half of our population wants an authoritarian in power, which is the fastest way to lose rights and services. We can not get them to vote for the interests of themselves and society as a whole. Democracy is fragile, and you can not maintain stability by foregoing our responsibilities elsewhere. What we do need to do is focus on the ideals that the country was built on and work to change the minds of Americans that are in dissent about things that will improve everyones lives. While not ignoring that sometimes, "everyone" means we have to support others who are in need, to protect our own interests.

If you asked Bernie who you should vote for he’d say Biden. I remember when Eisenhower was running and Biden is the best president we’ve had since FDR.
