Jacques Pepin is like the Mr. Rogers of the culinary world. I wish I knew him. I hope we have him for many more years. What a treasure.

Oh and whenever he passes it will hurt me as much as when Elvis left so many years ago. And if Alex Tribeck doesn't beat tgat cancer, I will also be in pain for a while. That's the trouble with getting so used to knowing these folks FOR SO MANY YEARS. It's very painful when they are no longer in your life. Same with beloved pets. They have never let you down or said an unkind word. Sorry to say this, but if, Heaven forbid, Gordon Ramsey were to disappear, it wouldn't bother me a bit. Same for Donald Trump. Sorry

Great video, very educational and proves that even Jacques Pepin can shop at a supermarket. Best TV chef ever! Also a great CHEF, too.

Oh! I didn't know that fact about butter. Geeze! I learn something almost every time I watch this lovely man. In my house BUTTER is a main food group. It makes eating vegetables more worth while. And like Jacques, I could live on bread and butter. Ha!

Who doesn't love Jacques? Great sense of humor to go with his cooking skills. Sadly, there is no grocery store like that anywhere near me.
@lonebeagle Жыл бұрын
But he didn't buy any expensive items--everything he got you can probably find in almost any supermarket. Cheap chicken, potatoes, ice cream and vinegar.....

💖💖💖💖💖 I now realized that even my Legendary Idol Jacques Pepin is doing a budget shopping. All the more he becomes up close and more personal to me. I am thanking and praising God that He gave our beloved Mr. Jacques Pepin to us. God is so good to us!

Rosario Antalan Being in the culinary industry you always budget! If a restaurant owner can not give you price per item, their business will fail.

Jacques Pepin is very nice. I've met him several times. What I found was disappointing was his close friend Jean-Claude Szurdak, who said something rude about an attendee of a cooking demonstration class within the earshot of the said-attendee.

In a 30 day month 30$ a meal is 900 Dollars. That is only ONE meal a day. Even if the other two meals are only 15 dollars for the 4 people that is still 1800 Dollars a month for food. My budget for food is about $450 for 4 people.
@travisore63095 жыл бұрын
@@ConnorConzo123 Did you even read my comment? 1 meal 4 people 30 dollars..... Yes I read it. that why I wrote Even if the other two meals(in a day) are only 15 dollars for the 4 people that is still 1800 in a MONTH for FOUR people......
@homasas48375 жыл бұрын
All meals doesn't have the same cost, especially breakfast. But anyway less than 500$ for 4 is a tiny budget. I spend the same for me alone. Except by cooking a lot everyday and eating a lot of fresh things, I don't know how you can avoid the frozen low cost shit with this budget and unfortunately end up with 4 unhealthy obese. Go often to the market, cook, dont eat meat every day, that this only way to have good food on a budget
@zebra74623 жыл бұрын
He's showing when you receive people for super, with expensive items for treats like ben & jerry's ice cream and baguette and all. You're not gonna eat like that everyday of the month.
